Updated Lupi Solo
Nice fight, enjoyed watching. What happened at 1:40 with elixir x?
You pop it for stability – when lupi changes from phase 1 to phase 2 he picks the target closest to him and drops an unavoidable grub on you which knocks you down, so the Stab keeps you from getting hit afterward as it lets you dodge.
Nice job. I’m not a speed clear person, but I thought I’d let you know of a way to possibly beat him even faster. I’ve been testing a turret reflect build against him, and it works very well. Its easy enough to time the phase 2 reflect to do max damage, however phase 3 requires a little luck (need him to use rapid fire, but not necrid trap, and also time the reflect well).
My skillset is healing turret, rifle turret, flame turret (they have the shortest cooldown), and bomb kit for phase 1 (if you find it acceptable to swap to toolkit at one of the phase changes, otherwise toolkit all the way for the block). I also use rifle instead of pistol/shield for 2 reasons: the main one is that with this build you run the risk of being domed, and lack utility skills to escape it; rifle 4 can get you out of the dome. The other reason is that rifle 5 gets you back into melee range instantly, while letting you save the toolkit shield for his targeted health steal.
I’m wondering though, since damage reflected seems to be based on the damage of the original source and the primary source of damage with this build is the reflects, if it might be worth it to let him eat some grubs since its only a 2% damage reduction, but a seemingly higher power increase.
Once again, I’m not a speed clear person, or even in berzerker gear. I just wanted to post the info for whoever might want to try it for a possibly even faster clear.
I’ve considered that idea already Rainmaker, and I appreciate your input – I just feel that the damage lost from going 30 into inventions doesn’t outweigh the massive damage boost from 30 in explosives or firearms. I do think that this would be fun to test, though – if I get around to it in the near future I’ll let you know how it goes, thanks!
