Use of healing turret and blast finishers?

You have to be quick, but it’s absolutely doable. I think the problem is starting your blast sequence at the start of the water field, which imo is hard to see. It’s not always clear the exact moment the field starts, which means you can burn precious seconds wondering if it’s ticking or not. I’ve also detonated my turret, thinking there was an active water field, and there wasn’t. Effectively wasting my heal.
Having said that, I regularly employ the shield+detonate double blast without any issues. Don’t wait to land your Acid Bomb to detonate. Hit it immediately after while you’re still airborne.

Thanks a lot for the input! So far I didn’t know, that there was a special time, when the water field activates. I always thought, it’s there exactly in the moment when I activate cleasing burst. Can you tell me, how long the waterfield normally stays active in a cleaning burst, so how many seconds do I have for the blast finishers?
That little delay after overcharge before the field establishes has gotten to me as well. I’ve had to remind myself not to be in such a hurry and do “heal, heal” quickly, then pause, then explode. In large group situations (world events) it’s even more important to watch the timing because of skill lag.
If you hit cleansing burst as soon as the cast time to plant your healing turret finishes, the burst and water field will activate immediately, otherwise, it has a delay. So i usually just spam my healing ability key until the cast finishes and then use blast finishers. It works the majority of the time for me.
Biggest thing I noticed is you saying you switch to EG and blast #4 before detonating. You might be just missing one of the blasts bc of launching yourself out. I always blow up the turret at the same time as double tapping shield #4 then EG and blast out.
Bomb kit gets you an extra easy blast also if you place it before dropping turret.

Just look for the enlarged border that shows you have a field active rather than a simple aoe effect.
aoe effects use a small border that kinda looks like a white flame. Field effects use a much larger border, maybe twice as tall if not more so, that you can see shapes floating upward in.
Look for that and you will know when your water field activated.
I was thinking last night as I was blast finishing all kinds of crazy crap in Arah trying to hit my water field, there should be an indicator on our skill bar somewhere about what type if field we are in. Maybe a little colored ring around our health flask, or an icon overlaying it or the blast skill very faintly so that we don’t accidentally blast a light field where it would make NO difference.
The game knows which fields we are in, even when the animation doesn’t show properly for one reason or another, why should it be a surprise to us?
