Vee Wee's Stream Builds!
ohhh come back please, we are Esports now. We need #gadgetmeta2014 Esports
Stop the hate. Good to see that someone share her/his builds with the community. She/he does not look for fame. She/he helps the community and new players
Thanks for posting these, been using zerker nades for a year now in pve, time to try out tool kit and flamethrower for a change!
I’m sorry, but how on earth does him/her deciding to share all the builds with us before they’re deleted get perceived as attention seeking? Posts like these are great because they contribute to the community and at the same time provide a good place for new players to start. Posts like your Mitch just come off a petty and make you seem like you’ve been holding a grudge for too long.
A lot of people here seem to have mixed feeling about VeeWee, but a good amount of his/her posts are usually giving helpful advice on engineers and honestly, these forums could use more people that are willing to share builds and tips with new players. What we don’t need more of is passive aggressive people attacking others for stupid reasons.
Could just be saying that is the build that she uses and not necessarily claiming ownership…
I mean, when you want to direct someone to a specific build without typing out the entire summary you don’t say, Google grenade builds, you usually give them a name that you know will specifically take them to the build you’re talking about. Not to mention, if the person whose name you attach is an active player who has videos, googling their name in addition to the build will bring up videos that helpful for other players.
I could just type engineer pvp builds into google and I’d probably find stuff, but say I wanted a comprehensive guide. I could search Wolfineer Engineer PvP build. Wolfineer didn’t “discover” those builds, but he did make an excellent guide that involves the build. Adding names enables you to find specific posts and builds much easier than generic build names, which honestly is probably how a lot of completely new players find builds.
In this case, searching “Gw2 Veewee engineer builds” brings up this thread and a previous one that is also a compilation of builds, whereas just searching for generic engineer builds will yield a huge mess of build request threads and builds from a year ago.

Hello frands! Vee Wee here, retired #1 Engi NA and world first rank 80!
Vee Wee is glad some people are enjoying the builds! Vee Wee loves to help the Engineer community, even if Vee Wee doesn’t play the game anymore! Vee Wee is a little saddened that trolls like to attack Vee Wee and Vee Wee’s thread for no reason other than to troll Vee Wee! Anyway Vee Wee would like to clear the air! Vee Wee knows Vee Wee should just let it go but Vee Wee will do it anyway!
Yes it’s true my frands! Vee Wee did not create all of these builds! This is why Vee Wee gave credit to Chaith and Hiba for creating their respective builds! If you read the post you would have seen it! When Chaith first posted his power build on the forums over a year ago, nobody called him a rampaging plagiarist! A real shame it’s happening now! Especially since Vee Wee has been using the same condi build with minimal changes/upgrades from patches since Incendiary Powder was an adept trait that had a 33% to proc burning for 3 seconds! Who here even remembers those days! Elixir R/Bomb Kit/Grenade Kit was the meta back then! Good times!
Anyway you’ll find that aside from Chaith’s and Hiba’s build, all of Vee Wee’s PvP builds are unique in comparison to other top Engi builds! For example, Chaith, one of the best Engis in the world, runs Intelligence Sigil and Power Wrench in his celestial rifle build while Vee Wee chooses to run Doom and Leg Mods! The builds are otherwise identical but Vee Wee views them as two different builds! Vee Wee’s version is tailored to Vee Wee’s own playstyle because in Vee Wee’s opinion, that’s how a build is supposed to be!
Furthermore in 3500+ hours and thousands upon thousands of tournament games played, Vee Wee has never encountered Vee Wee’s own build from people that Vee Wee didn’t specifically give the build too! So nyah on the haters!
And finally Vee Wee wishes everyone the best and Vee Wee hopes these builds help or maybe offer insight or maybe you can just ignore them if you don’t like them! Vee Wee only posted them because Vee Wee was removing them from Vee Wee’s Twitch channel and thought maybe some people would enjoy them, especially since some people were still messaging Vee Wee on Steam asking for advice on builds!
Wahoo! Bye frands!

Just for the record:
All other builds were created by Vee Wee!

Fair enough, I missed that bit. She did give credit to the two players above too, I missed that as well in my scanning of the builds. To be fair, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a gadget engineer in Spvp and I actually messed around with that build and found it quite fun. Still, claiming any build as a player is kinda meh to begin with since we can’t exactly know what build every single person playing right now is using or whether or not they created it. Kind of impossible to know who “made” a build, but it is fairly easy to figure out who popularizes a build simply by googling things, and as I stated above, googling VeeWee engineer builds brings up several helpful build compilations that would benefit new players greatly if they had no idea where to start.
I guess some of us gave enough of a kitten to actually take the time to post that he doesn’t.
And I don’t get why people keep saying it’s annoying – whether it’s true or not she is more pleasant on the forums than in-game, doesn’t really change the fact that there’s more useful stuff in her posts and more character than forumers that do nothing but BM.
