We are ugly :'(
and the shield is more of a gards thing, imo ….
The shield looks rather ugly in a Guardian due to the Aegis effect clipping with it. While the legendary rifle may not be fitting to what some people see as an engineer’s weapon, there are other items in the game that do. My favourite is the Hyperbeam rifle.

the shields i’ve used look good. I got the one that looks like a furnace and the one that looks like a gear (sorta) shields really aren’t that bad.
Tho we have requested that they give us hammers 1h and 2h so that we can have a third weapon option. It would be great to see a steampunk hammer we could use or one that’s all electric from the asura. ENGI SMASH!

Somehow that doesn’t feel right.
I use both a T3 Asura Peacemaker pistol and shield.
In my opinion, both look better than either legendary weapons.
Matching gear (both style and colour) go a long way to.
That’s my points, I don’t want to use peacemaker because I don’t have a nice looking legendary, i want the choice, why do warrs get to pick between 9 legendary and we only have 3 to pick from and none looks nice on an engi, maybe the postal if you engi looks like a clown lol

It’s what we’ve got to put up with when warriors are favoured by the devs.
Also, warriors have the largest weapon selection out of all classes, so naturally they’ll have the widest range of legendarys to choose from.
