We need a long range single target Direct damage kit.
Everyone compares their class to warrior and Guardians.. they are technically OP. humorously, just about everyone on any class forum compares it’s class to guardians or warriors at some point.
I agree we need a long range kit, but not something to incite those that want engineers to be a sniper ranged class in entirety (Those who aren’t pleased with anything the class offers and desire to change it to their specific fantasy)
Machinegun! Or… kit version of charrzooka/pact bazooka? A machinegun would be interesting… it could have high sustained damage but low burst DPS or something, so unlike the warrior’s ‘LOOK OUT, I’M CHARGIN’ MY SNIPER’ skill, you couldn’t just dodge once and be done with it.
Though I guess in function it would basically be a long range flamethrower that didn’t hit as many targets.
The rifle is fine.
Try the toolkit and tell me if you are still squishy, you might not wanna go all in melee with toolkit, but in pve atleast, the toolkit does obscene damage, and has the utility to melee just fine. I wouldnt go toolkit melee in dungeons persay, but thats just cause I feel like dungeoning needs reworks, im still new to Engi, but the toolkit ive got to say is one of my favorite kits so far, its risky to melee, but its damage pay off is huge.
I also would not like to see a “sniper” kit, its just so forced… the rifle is the long range weapon, the sniper kit is just bleh, use nades.
Rifle is not a good long range direct damage. 3 and 5 reward you for being close and 4 to disengage safely.
Pistols would be ok if 2 didn’t have a targetting cone.
Upgraded range grenade kit has 1500 range on every skill, which is a lot, but targetting and hitting is a pain in PvP, but awesome in PvE.
I agree, I would like a long range single target kit/weapon.
I would like a Boomerang Kit with Damage and Confusion or Daze or something

Grenade kit with grenadier trait does obscene damage if the enemy don’t move away
Bleh… Im rambling, just unhappy with the lack of class balance.
Personally, I am more concerned with getting professions bugs fixed, fixing broken abilities and traits, long before I am worried about them trying to balance them
Kind of nice though, too see this thread topic pop back up, its been a whole 3 days since anyone has made a new thread on this topic.
