Hello guys!

First of all, I’m an achievement-oriented player. l am not sure if this has been mentioned before. For a long time, l have known that when engineers uses a kit to kill a monster/player, we do not get any progress towards our “weapon master” achievements.

l understand that logically we did not use our main weapon (ie rifle or pistol) to kill the target. However, l feel that it is unfair that we do not get progress in these achievements since we are highly dependent on our kits for many of our builds (maybe except SD and HGH pistol builds).

Are there any official response regarding this?

Yea I used to be so perplexed at how I’ve got so many more bow and sword kills than pistol or rifle when my Engi is my main….and then I learned that tid-bit of info. How disappointing huh? My weapon sigils proc when I swap kits but my weapons don’t count when killing skelk. Ok….

I always wondered why they didn’t either let us count kills towards those achievements, or just add achievements in for each of the toolkits.

I noticed yesterday ( I am quick, yes? Been playing since start )… I was baffled, to be honest.
My necro, whom I play on occasion, has more kills by weapons than my engineer, on whom I spend most play time.

Strangely enough, Turrets count toward weapon kill achievements.

Only, well, they count funny. I got the Staff Master by using the Flame Turret.

Well now, that’s messed up.

I had nearly 1,000 sword kills before playing a class that can equip swords. I think I found some correlation with necro minions.

Pretty sure DS or wells count as sword. Thats the only explanation for how i got sword complete b4 anything else.
