Not sure if this topic has been made before, if so im sorry. I just had a thought that maybe if Anet changed up the ‘Rifle’ name, called it shotgun(because thats what it really acts like) and give engie the option of an actual Rifle, including Headshots(that can cause daze) Poison shot, or even a snipe shot that knocks down the target at close range,but does more damage at a further range. just throwing out general ideas, not really fleshed out of course , just wanted to guage the rest of the communities opinion on this.

Meh, i think an engineer suits the blunderbuss / shotgun style.

It was originally called shot gun. It got changed in the very late closed beta. At that time only the engineer had this weapon. They added it to warrior and at that time, and changed it to rifle. I fail to see why it should be changed to “shotgun” though, personally.
