Hi guys, I have a question. What engineer weapon do you see the most while fighting. Ive heard that kits replace weapons alot so the pistol, or rifle your wielding goes away quite a bit.

I plan on making an engi very soon, especially since I recently obtained one of the aetherized weapon tickets but if i dont use my ticket soon the cost of the weapon will increase to 5 tickets.

By the way I would like this character to be a god at solo roaming in WVW. So thats my question. Given those criteria is there a weapon that I can use that actually get used and show up while fighting or should I just spend this rare ticket on the hammer to place on a different character?

Engis have only three choices: pistol, rifle and shield. Kits will never completely replace your main weapon, even in kit centric builds you switch back to your weapon for situational uses, and other builds focus almost solely on your main weapon.

Do you know yet if you want a condition build or a power build? If you want to go conditions, get a pistol skin. If you want to go power get a rifle. Both can work in WvW.

Thanks for the advice Saki. Looks like I need to study up on which I prefer. Too bad the price goes up, Id love to just hold on to this ticket until I figure our what play style I like the best
