Which race has the best looking engineer armor set at 80?

Most likely Norn or Human, as they are nearly exactly like us and we can relate to them much easier than say a Char. Also, some people might find Sylvari attractive because of their slender form.

Its a toss up between human and norn. Female humans get an armor that has underboob action going on, while female norn get Eir’s armor, which shows bits of skin here and there and is form fitting.

Sylvari’s armor is form fitting but doesn’t show anything, but has some awesome glow, its Caithe’s armor if your curious to what it looks like.

I’m mainly trying to decide between Human, Charr, and Sylvari for my engineer

I love Noble Armor in a Asura, i put it in a Magic Find set to wear it when i go farm events and dragons:

It all comes down to personal preference. I would choose Human or Norn, mostly human (female Norn kind of sounds manly).
Or am i completely wrong and your a female gamer looking for a sexy male outfit?

Most armors have horrible, horrible texture stretching on male charr. I ended up transmuting my crafted exotics to the charr tier 1 cultural armor on my engineer for this reason.

Funniest part? Even the charr cultural armor has texture stretching on charr models. But at least it only happens when you perform certain animations rather than all the time.

Wow.. this thread makes me want to roll another race. Currently Asura and there’s nothing really visually pleasing about it.

Heh, for me after playing the Asura in RvR a bit I have realized how much a pain it is to look UP (keep walls for nades) and regret playing them for that reason. When I look up since I am so close to the ground the camera gets in really bad positions to view UP.

I expect someday they will add a race change option to the shop… I hope at least!

This thread gives me hope that one day I won’t look like crap.

I definitely feel like Enginners get the short end of the aesthetics stick. Personally I think most of the Medium armour sets are either really ugly on my Human, or are more suited to a Thief or a Ranger. I would never wear the T3 human armour on my Engineer, only ever a Thief.

The armour that I found that suits me the best is the Noble armour set. Level 80 Rare set from leatherworking. I just finished my Exotic set and immediately transmuted to the look of my Noble

I picked asura becuase I honestly thought every other race didn’t quite fit it.

Charr: Second best option, but .. honestly look too mangy. Don’t like their style.
Norn: The mammoth backpack you get while using the grenade kit looks so ugly and out of place .. can’t stand it.
Human: Humans are boring.
Sylvari: A plant with a gun doesn’t look right.
