So guys, which works better lorewise?

Charr engineer or Asura engineer?

(Or Charr warrior :p)

Both are pretty perfect, turrets/explosives seem to fit the Charr aesthetic more, while Elixirs perhaps fit Asura better.

However, 95% of Medium Armour clips/warps horrendously on Charr.

Play Asura.

Kits and turrets are closer in design to charr technology, but the notion of engineering fits both races pretty well. Personally, I prefer charr, even though they have some stretching and tail clipping issues (but honestly – is there a game in this world that has a tailed beast race without armor clipping issues? – stretching bothers me so much more)

Engineer technology really developed with the Charr first and foremost. And its one of the specialties developed by the Charr Iron Legion. When we talk about the Engineer he is very much a Combat-Engineer and good in inventing things that are useful in a combat situation. The Iron Legion is the start of all of this, and the Engineer profession has spread to the other races from there. The People of Tyria have seen it in combat over the past few years and have seen the effectiveness of an engineer. And so you are going to see Engineers of all races although it is a little bit more common to see a Charr Engineer than anybody else. So it all started with the Charr and their technological development

Charr are the engineers. Asura have little knowledge about engineering and functionality without magic. All their technology works with magic and most of them are Elementalists. There are all classes in every race ofc but engineers belong mainly to the Iron Legion.

95% of the outfits is a bit harsh. Charr in general have some problems with outfits, but you can look cool, don’t worry. Asura are worse in that point: you’re that small, noone notices what you wear anyway. #nohumanproblems
