Why I love my mortar and turrets kits ect...
The question is, did you do anything with mortar and turrets that you couldn’t have done better with supply drop, grenade kit, and the mine gadget?

Simply answer yes.
For me being an engineer is like figuring out a puzzle. Not as straight forward as a Warrior. Eng have to change to meet the challenge in front of them. They have to be willing and able to think outside the box.
Yeah I have face many $&$^#)(@ moments but at level 80 I took each skill and worked with it until I understood what I could and could not do with it. I have learned to set up my fields and exploit them, when to use turret ect… Lots of trial and error.
I cant wait to see what I can figure out next
Thanks for your question.
Yeah, I’m just too dumb to do puzzles, and am both unwilling and unable to think outside of boxes, or adapt to challenges. Later, gonna go roll a warrior now

You should probably go do that then.
I just wanted to pop in and say that I enjoyed the story and positive outlook you have towards the engineer. This mindset is what will make you a better player over time especially with a class that requires a high level of adaptation on the fly.
Kudos
While i dont beleive that the mortar was helping you over other things you could have done that woulda been more impactful (but woulda required more button pressing). Point is it was fun and it worked. Which theres definitly something to take away from that.
i wouldnt say engineer is a puzzle btw, though making use of other players combo fields and combo finishers is a more exciting aspect of the combat in this game, and we do have access to a nice variety of combo fields.
Mortar seems like a good skill after hearing your story… but… no offense… AC last boss, doesn’t warrant an epic story, its one of the easiest Boss in the entire game, you could 3 man it, seriously, it only degrades Mortar/Turrets into being useful only in easy battles. Again no offense meant. Just my 2 cents.
