I havnt played in a while, and thinking of coming back for HoT. I have always liked the idea of engineers but always hated the weapon kits and how everybuild required one. I didn’t find them that fun and more confusing than they were worth, in my opinion.

With all the changes coming and the new x-pac. Will there be good/fun builds that wont force me to run kits?

THey ahvent revelaed the engineer elite spec yet, however I Think kits will be very popular still, especially since the mortar becomes a mobile kit

You can already do quite well without kits if you want, but it’s important to build for it.

The builds are out there now if you want, but they will all be obsolete day after tomorrow.

But then there’s NEW builds.

HGH and Static Discharge are still bread-and-butter traits for boosting the DPS of no-kit engies depending on what your favored utilities are,.

Firearms will be a must-have traitline if you’re sticking with guns, Tools is a must if you’re using gadgets, and pretty useful even without them, and alchemy is a must if you’re running elixers, (and again, still handy without) And the new inventions line will be handy for turrets or support.

Explosives is the one you’ll likely want to avoid because it’ll be underwhelming without the bomb, grenade or mortar kits.

Yep. Plenty of choices and potential fun to be had.
