I would like to no to have to use a kit in my builds….!!, what with that? well HoT is bringing up the Hammer, an so what i mean…. i would really enjoy to make a powefull full alchemi tonics build!! but to no use a kit is really not viable right now… My solution? well let us to swich weapons !!! what ?? to strong? or OP? well block the weapom swap when using a kit…. so we can be OK when not using a kit!! it will be super fun!! and balanced! i really would like to use my other utylities beside my kits!! please please AneT!! Hammer + Rifle alchemist tonic dream build!!!

This is what I’m most looking forward to, what new utilities they give us. They have to know that kits are basically required right? They can’t make new utilities that are still outclassed by kits.

Well of course they can but in creating an elite spec I hope they realize they need to give us a reason to use these shiny new skills over kits.

In HoT, please consolidate useful skills and disregard waste (bounce shot, glue shot, elixir c alone) bounce shot should be an effect of EG 1, glue shot should have icd on crit for a real skill slot or utility<—— it’s a space filler which seriously nerfs p/p viability all around, elixir c should be a function inside of other elixirs or elixir gun. It is the only cleanse focus utility engi has, and simply does too little to ever have a clear function. Let HT secondary be affected by healing power. Make aed viable. Reconsolidate firearm/explosive traits; they are disorganized and neither synergies completely with clear dps rotation. 48 steps in optimal dps rotation is ludicrous. Gives us a drone that res’s like ranger pet, or marks a true mes, or disrupts lich form, or can negate enemy guard excessive heals. Please stop fixing kittening elementalists, 3 major heals, endless cc with huge burst and condi dps. They don’t need anymore help. Stahp making charr look like Chinese dragons with mouse tails. Rename unranked pvp queue solo queue and only allow solo queue players. Ranked is both if people want to be foolish. So tired of 5/5 premade enemy ream with 3 allies lvl 10 or lower.

Our weapons sets do not synergize that well together and the entire class has been wired for kits. So I think at least the base class should be left alone in this regard.

That said, I would like a good faith effort made to have the new spec be kit-less. If for no other reason than to stop the new topics on the matter from being created.

Forge:

-Add Weapons Swap
-All new utilities actively reward kit-less play
-Class Mechanic actively punishes kit usage
-3 – 5 secs penalty on weapon swap for each kit
-penalty to new class F-skill mechanic per kit

Another option would be instead of giving us additional utilities, all the kits are converted to a different skill inspired by the kits they replace.

It was made very clear to us in the past that Kits were always intended to function as the main offensive/defensive aspects of the Engineer. Everything else was intended to help fulfill more specific roles (cc, cleanse, etc) while using 1-2 kits at a time. As soon as this equation changed during the turret buffs and subsequent nerfs it became clear that we were not allowed to step out of this necessitated pigeon-hole. I find it very VERY unlikely that this will change as the consequential cacophony following would turn into another turret epidemic.

be massively disappointed with elite spec. Im actually excited to see how bad its going to turn out.

drones sound like theyre going to be a copy pasta of the ranger spirits. there will be a passive proc like, 15% chance to burn, chill, bleed, etc and an active that does the same effect but only better. yes its a totally wild guess.

we are kit and alchemy dependent so slotting a drone in the utility slot means giving up 1 or more required functions.

hammer will be a copy of either warrior or guardian skills but only weaker. so hammer drone build will a medium armored front liner with no stabo, no utility and hybrid dmg. sounds delicious right?
