Wolfineer - 'Drop it!' WvW Montage
great job,
like!
That last fight so sick.
Nothing new here, but some nice play in that last battle.
I still think you can go more yolo with the build if you take the 10 out of alchemy and put it in firearms for sitting duck for more DPS. You can also drop armor mods for scope or power wrench, the later of which will result in more DPS once the patch hits. Fire sigils instead of battle sigils would also be better for a surprise burst you’d expect from a yolo build, especially if you want to use the scholar runes instead of the strength runes.
Will be nice to use this on p/d thieves post patch and see how they react when they realize they can’t just get away for free when they want to.
love this shiznit makes me want to play my engi more. Would you use this build in PVE at all or run with nades and bombs?

Not sure about Mr. Wolf, but I’ve used almost the exact same build in general PvE, and it can be very nice for just mowing down mobs while you’re doing world completion stuff (i.e. going to PoIs, completing hearts, &c.).
But as far as dungeons and fractals go, I find this build generally falls short to the bomb and grenade based builds. The CC is often highly unecessary in those circumstances, and it doesn’t have quite sustained AoE damage that you can get from bombs and grenades. It’s also not the most sustainable build, so it can be hard to tackle certain fights where the outgoing damage from the bosses is particularly high. It can still be used in those situations and be effective, I just don’t feel it’s anywhere close to optimal.

The burst is strong but drops quickly in comparison to a Grenadier setup plus you will not be able to apply a ton of Vulnerability. I wouldn’t run this setup in PvE as I find the Grenadier setup a lot better both for Open World and Dungeons.
