Wrench: Repair siege equipment?
ye it would be awesome though i dont think they will add this
I agree, since the Mesmer is now an essential WvW profession because of the warp gate. I dont see why just one profession has such a outrageously important tactical skill like being able to port in an entire army in just a few seconds. They are basically a walking moveable waypoint.
I think engineers being able to repair siege is only fair. In fact every profession should have some type of skill contribution tht at least gets close to equalling the Mesmer.
I mean everytime a base is taken you have to spend at least 5min or so searching every nook and cranny so that ONE person doesnt completety ruin your progress.
YES totally agree !
I would equip toolkit for WvW just for this sole purpose. Personally, I think It just makes SENSE to be able to do that. we already whack at the turrets, why not siege equipment? It will make a difference in battles yes – but not that much if siege is targeted by another siege. Especially considering alot of them deal heavy damage which can usually outright kill an engineer.
I think every profession should have its own mechanic. Idk what they would be like, but it would add a lot of fun to the game. maybe a guardian could like hold a gate shut even after it’s destroyed without supply (until he gets aoed to death, of course). Or like Warriors are the only class that can damage walls with regular skills…maybe thieves could carry more supply…I’m on a roll.

This is a great idea. I feel very usefull in wvw, but others do not know how usefull an engineer can be. Mesmers are too valuable, and guardians for they reflection wall comes in second (I wish toss elixir U had some kind of trigger so I know how to cast reflection wall with that-but this is another subject) Every class should have a distictive speciality so we enjoy our game better, get appreciation from friends.
I actually posted this thread roughly 0.00002 second after hitting a heavily damaged ballista that was defending our keep. The siege war resulted in the keep room having 4-5 parked damaged siege weapons in them and apparently no way to fix them.
Imagine my shock to find out that something this BASIC about an engineer class was not implemented. Such a missed opportunity.
Agreed only if it takes supply to repair.

IMO anyone should be able to repair siege weapons, but only out of combat/siege and by spending supply. Costs the same supply as building it in the first place, but you save the coin cost and inconvenience of buying a new one.
