Everything’s in there. Ideally, you’d want sentinel gear, but soldier gear also works. You’ll have insane levels of defense, and can usually hold off enemies trying to capture a camp or point long enough for allies to arrive. In addition, in case you ever do manage to get yourself low on health, either Slick Shoes or Swiftness plus a timely Rocket Jump will get you anywhere you need. You’ve got tons of cc, and you can still deal some (not much) damage. Plus, it’s hilarious to pull defending players off walls.

I was having a blast with this build in the zerg. 84 sec cool down for Elixir X is really nice for some cool AOE damage (tagging and dealing damage to enemies). In reality is close to 64-66 sec cool down because it starts while you are transformed. Around 200 kills in 3 hours. Lots of badges and only 4-5 deaths (+6-7 traditional -at least for me – leaps of death off combat)

I tinkered this build after patch and its bit insane. You are incredibly tanky with lots of mobility – perma swiftness, perma vigor, jump shot, rocket boots. Nearly immune to cripple, chill, immobilize and with highly reduce condi duration. With FT you have decend damage (up to 4k per flame). You can dive into zerg, tag everything, jump back and collect lots of badges in few (you are healed for 2k every kill also). Also good in small scale or 1vX. Yesterday in WvW there must be 5 thieves at once to take me down:-)

Also with 2x Rune of the Mad King (for 10% cond duration). Both pistols are Givers. With foodbuff (40% cond duration) you then hit 100% conditions duration.

Gearwise i mix and match carrion and rabid to get some health and toughness. And Rampager trinkets.
With Enh. Performance and Sigil of battle, together with the 40% might duration from runes i can easily keep up 12 stacks of might on my own with a high uptime.

It works very well for me as an allround build, from zerging with large groups to roaming and small group fights.
The biggest downside is very limited condition removal. You could take EG instead of Elixir S. Works aswell.

Yes, very noticeable. Things just last much longer, which is great for bursty conditions like Bleeds and Confusion.
Duration stacking conditions a bit less, with Inc. Ammo trait and Blowtorch i can put up more burning then will usually actually tick because it is removed or the target gets downed.

But its also very usefull with Chill, Cripple and Immobilize effects. Glueshot is now a 2sec AoE immobilize which then ticks 2sec cripple, every second, after that. Box o’ Nails is also a lot more usefull, in the short time its up it can stack a decently lengthy cripple. And Chill from Frost grenade is fantastic aswell.
Between all these abilities, boosted to last twice as long, you have great kiting.

I use a simular build, except a few details:

also grenadier, but my Master Trait is accelerant packed turrets, so my healing turret is a knockback.
Saves my life a lot of times: when you need the heal, you also knock them back…

I use pistol shield so I traited my shield instead of my pistols.
Which makes my build a 30/0/20/0/20 version.
Took protection proc as adept trait, invisability is fun too.

My third slot is Elixir gun in group fights (or pve). Even utterly untraited that thing is still superb utility and support.

But in all honesty: most of the time since the patch that third slot is Rocket Boots!
The new version is the best thing since condensed milk.
Condensed milk? Wtf??? Well, both are underrated, both aren’t the original thing anymore… but both saved more lives than you can count

I simply love Rocket boots new jump in WvW. It’s just incredibly awesome as escape.
No longer a stunbreaker, but still breaks cripple, immobilize and chill… so it gets you out of most situations.

100% condition duration for me as well.
Not for the damage, purely for the utility of it!
Throw Wrench alone, or Box of Nails, are simply endless cripple.
Chill grenades: hell yes.
Rocket Boots toolbelt Rocket Kick even burns for quite a bit, despite my power based build.
100% condition duration is a lot of cc in WvW.

I’m not the best 1v1 killer, more bunker than glass damage.
But in group settings, small or zerg, I can make a difference with this build.

Wiggely, wobbely and other wombaty wabbity creatures…
