Guild Wars 2

Before I start, yes, I’ve searched and found different builds and topics about it, namely Masks ridiculous Engi build that looks amazing. The build I found (from GW2hub) has been what I’ve been working on so far.

Being tanky while doing damage and using pistols, basically. It’s excellent, but the only issue I have with it is speed. Yes, in combat I have swiftness up a lot, but outside of combat, I have to Elixir B, gamble for Toss Elixir B, or switch to Med Kit for a bit, and hope I don’t get caught/ganked while using it. I’m looking to possibly move traits around, or if there’s any other suggestions on how to have OOC swiftness.

BTW, this is for WvW Roaming solo. It’s worked wonderfully, I’ve been able to take out sentries quickly, dolyaks drop, and I’ve solo’d a supply camp (not fully upgraded) without being taken below 50% health. I’ve had 1 “duel” and I won, but I wasn’t fast enough to run away from the fight in the first place. Also, I’m about to hit 62, so I’m not even geared properly. I’m still in level 50ish greens.

Any help is appreciated, sorry so long winded, though.
TL;DR any changes to this build or suggestions to have out of combat swiftness?

Drop the 10 in Enhance Performance or Invigorating Speed , and pick up Speedy Kits for perma swiftness , you wont regret it.

Love it ;-; so dam fast all the time, with boon duration, and the perma vigor, it’s pretty good. 1v1 a hammer warrior in a camp, took forever (still in rare gear and lvl 60ish accessories), ended up winning cuz I could dodge 24/7 lol

i used to run a similar build the other alternative you could use is, get 4 runes of alturism and 2 runes of water they dont give you as long might duration but its only 30% less you can still easily maintain 25 might maybe even easier with alturism, but with the extra boon duration you should be able to maintain perma swiftness,fury and 12-16 might when running around if you swap to med kit and back only to use the swiftness and fury buff skill it only takes 1 second to do it once you get used to it and using toss elixir H and B its kinda annoying procing them all the time but its so very good going into combat with it all up

He’s not even of level 80 yet if you’re talking about the Superior versions

So, are you getting 60% Might Duration from the Runes alone? Is that how it works? Does it stack that way?

Who with half a brain would put Superior Runes in anything other than 80+ items…

Well, Just hit 80, and I’m getting my exo gear together right now, but now, I refuse to waste sup runes in stuff that’s not at least rare 80 lol Rabid Gear is aggravating to find, I’m actually in full rare carrion right now, but maybe Carrion isn’t as bad compared to Rabid?

Well with that build if you choose to take boon duration over might duration u can upkeep fairly decent protection uptime so throwing a few carrion in there for the extra hp can give you a very good all-around tank

What’s the run setup for boon duration? Is it the 2 Monk, 2 Water, 2 Sanc?

2 superior monk, 2 superior water and then 2x major of either monk, water or sanctuary.

Thats a rare commodity , thats like saying use common sense ^^

Somebody under level 80 might put them in something other than 80+ items. The use of transmutation crystals and salvage kits makes getting the rune to higher-level gear easy, too.
