There seems to be no Vitality, Healing, Condition gear in S/TPvP. Using just Shaman makes my HP way too low.

What are you guys using to strike a balance in HP, Healing, and Condition damage?

I am also thinking about doing some WvW solo roam practice with this build (I didnt put any gear, but will use mix of Shaman and Apoth), not sure I will actually be able to KILL people, but it also isn’t a pure bunker…will have to play around with it:

Since switching to this playstyle from both tankcat and Mask’s build, I’m having way more fun. I love what the bomb kit has added, and the fields and blast finishers are just awesome. For some reason this build seems more survivable that the tankcat, and I think it’s because the little bomb circles cause people to dodge and evade, whereas with the tankcat people just keep on spamming their skills. Plus this build has more CCs that allow me to retreat and catch my breath, so I can return to the fight on my terms. Now I don’t think I have the skill to win 1v1s or 1v2+s with it yet because I have a lot of room for improvement, but I can usually stand on the front lines a while, troll, bait, and otherwise support my group.

What is also cool is I don’t think this build is in danger of any serious nerfs because there are no clutch traits or skills. It’s the combination of several varied skills that, in the right hands, cause chaos and wins fights.

Thanks for opening my eyes to this play-style for the engineer. I’m now ready to upgrade from rares to exotics.

Also tried a build based on yours this morning. Great fun in a small group vs small group situation (10-15 each side I would say) as you can really blast that water field to get your group back up after the initial shock. Went on 1 on 1 against a fellow engineer using mask build and it was a loooooong draw. We just left each other alone after that. That being said I have a lot of room to improve using the build

Idk anything about mask only teldo and medicat sorry, but yeah this build offers so much support it is unimaginable I feel as if it is a must have for a group. If you watched video 3 at 7:16-7:21 I burst healed 13khp in 4.5 seconds, thats quite op not including the long regen you get after that.

This build is meant for group spec in wvw not spvp as I run something different for bunkering points vs healing my group/cc/clear condis/buffing/tank in wvw.

Not to talk down on medicat’s build or anything, but if you look at it in a 5v5 group perspective it does nothing against skilled players. They’re just gonna leave the medicat build alone and focus others in your team. But the build I’m using in vid 3 it offers so much more cc/heal/condi removal/buffs/ and high level plays to saving your teammates. And you’re right that this build I can survive a lot longer vs medicat’s build from experience.

Tyvm guys for all your feedback, I’ll try to make more vids after summer since I’m taking organic chemistry 1 & 2 for summer 1 & 2 + work + building business + working out. But for sure I’ll keep updating my playlists for you guys to enjoy!

Would you mind sharing your thoughts on use of the Elixir Gun? Right now I tend to only switch to it after everything else is on cooldown, thus I’m not using it tactically. Yeah I see the Acid Bomb blast finisher for healing and escape. And yeah I see the heals and light field from Super Elixir. Do you find the EG auto-attack of any value? Do you make tactical use of EG 2 and 3? What are your favorite EG uses?

Yes elixir gun I use #2 for cripple for my thief to burst a target down if we’re chasing, but in group fight i rarely use it. #3 skill furnigate I use when I’m in a 5 man but duo with my thief he clears condition in stealth.

The build its meant for small man group play vs outnumbered odds, but I do 1v1 or 1vs zerg to practice my rotations better.
