Hi All,
Just wanted some feedback or pointers in the right direction, been having a lot of fun roaming on my engineer but I have had this happen to me a few times now when I am in a 1 v 2+ situation If I have terrain on my side and I can kite them round structures etc. I have no problems downing them but struggle to get the stomps off, a lack of stability really seems to hurt me. I run grenades, bombs and elixir gun with P/S.

Any way my question is really can anyone offer any tips pointers etc. I may just be a bad and I may get better with more time (engineer is my least played in WvW). But loving the class for roaming at the moment, it’s just frustrating when you down 2 or 3 players but cannot get the stomps off and end up loosing.

Are you using smoke bomb for stomps?

I tend to use stealth a lot during the fight so I don’t always have the bomb and blast finishers off cd when needed, I could just be unlucky with Cd’s I drop B o B on them to try and knock the resser off but they always have stability and seem to get them up faster than I can get them down. Like I said I could just need more practice I was just wondering if there were any tricks I was missing

Well I don’t think there’s much you can do against a ranged CC, but the smoke bomb is for the constant blind, not the stealth, for stomping

You don’t always have to stomp to win a 1v2. If your poison nades are up, you can often cleave the downed player and get the one trying to rez as well. If you don’t have smoke bomb up, definitely go poison nades/shrapnel nades/fire bomb/acid leap on the dude and collect your two bags.

Remember to use your crate to interrupt downed players. As someone else has already said, poison grenade also works wonders because of the -33% healing. Your two shield skills will also interrupt a res.

Getting stomps in a 1vX? Elixir S will always trump Elixir Gun. Invuln Stomp and stealth stomp.
