Since the basis of combat engineering is group support, I’ve been running with this build in WvWvW. It is primarily group healing and condition removal.

This build has quite a few group-supportive combos and also helps somewhat with point defense. I like to play tanky as it helps me stay standing up in a battle in order to help the group heal, pick up downed players, etc. This build is also pretty good when you are running back to your group solo because all the condition removal and healing works on you too. Toss Elixir R at your feet if you are about to go down to self-rally.
I may switch out self-regulating defenses though because I find that I’m popping Elixir S in the middle of trying to lay a healing turret and detonate it for area heal.
Ooh nice! I’m definitely going to check this out :>
Let me know how it goes. I’m thinking of switching to Protection Injection in place of Self-Regulating Defenses.
I used a build similar to this. On one side I tried using Rampagers armor and this helped with my soloing ability quite well, however my low HP made me a prime target. People would run through the entire frontlines to get to me. Then I tried Soldiers armor and it helped with my survivablity quite a lot. I find that my support in WvW groups does not come from healing, but rather the CC (toolkit + shield) and condition removal available to me. So I keep that in mind when playing a support Wvw build.

I have used this in WvW, and have had a good amount of success. Turret placement combined with terrain equals SURPRISE SUCKA!!
Drop the turrets if you got someone chasing you. Wait for them to get close then detonate. Keep getting distance, so you can buy some time to find the higher ground. Toss a freeze grenade to slow em down. Hide a net turret out of his LOS. They will never see it coming. Poison grenade, grenade barrage, supply crate. Jump shot, Blunderbuss, Net Shot, Shrapnel Grenade. Detonate Turret. Save Heal Turret. This build is all about CONTROL. Yours. You are dictating the terms of engagement. Not the enemy.
With a small(5 to 10 people) havoc squad, I have used this to great effect. Solo as well. I use P/V/T with Superior Runes of the Dolyak, half Sapphire Cleric’s, half Emerald Knight’s exotics for jewelry.
