I have been working on builds for a while now:

1. first one i used was a direct damage rifle/boon build. I loved this but had low versatility/survivability.

2. did up a full CD build with 1850 CD and 2.7k armour. this was great for stacking confusion an bleeding but very hard to play.

So i desided to experiment with a hybrid build. end result looks so good (in theory) i need to try it out:

note: the amulet i alreay had from the direct damage build.

The idea behind this build is to have good direct damage but still make use of the amazing amount of conditions involved in the skills.

skills:
Med kit
Grenade Kit (if you have trouble landing the nades in WvW, change this to Flamer/EG)
Tool kit
Elixar S
Supply crate

I am at work so i havent had the chance to test this build and befor i waste my gold on the items i need.

thoughts/ideas?

#Tool kit give you Magnet, Gear shield, nails and Pry bar (5 stackes of confusion = over 1k damage each skill over 8.3 sec)

#Grenade kit for all the good Direct damage + conditions on skills 2-5 (skill 1 still has a 33% chance to get bleeding/burning on crits)

#Eilxer S <—- need i say more (can be changed if you feel like it)

#Med kil for the F1 5k+ heal and 3-1.1k bandages + condition removal (one thing this build was lacking) and swiftness for 11 sec out of every 20.

CC/Displacement effects beyond your wildest dreams:
Reflect
Knock back
Stun
Daze
Pull
Cripple
Chill
Block
Blind
Poison

Update: Bit the bullet and played it last nite.

LOVE IT! it totaly suits my style of play. full CD didnt have enought damage output, and direct damage burst was to hit and miss (miss your combo you under performed)

This was great, A ton of direct damage and decent CD (Mostly loved the magnet pull -> nails -> pry bar -> grenade kit combo) 5 stackes of confusion and 1.2k crits on 3 nades applying 15+ stacks of vulnerability. Melted HP but still had all the nessisary utility

Rune of the wurm ain’t worth using, just take Beryal orbs, gives far more stats

Damage output is realy good. I have fully enjoyed this build over the last few days. direct damage is good (4k no 3rd hit off #1 on tool kit) (1.2k Crits on nades x3) and bleed still ticking for 100 a tick. the pry bar is ticking 1.3k per ability.

Survivability is realy nice to:
Gear shield
Reflect
knock back
elixar S x2.
love the survivability, and even if they land a hit they need to chew thru all the Aumour rating and 20k hp

Thanks for the advice ill check that out.

Edit:
Beryal orbs : 150 power – 18% Crit damage – 90 Vitality

Rune of the Wurm: 3% damage – 6% Crit damage – 165 Vitality

So, yea over all orbs are better Thanks. i think ill tweak for more Hp elsewhere to make up for it but.
