Guild Wars 2

I mainly follow Dontain and Wooden Potatoes channels on you tube, but the problem with those is that the use Worrior and Elementalists and focus entire videos around them and their builds.
I’m an Engineer, so I’m uninterested in most of their videos…

Is there any channel out there that uses/ focus/ shows builds with an Engineer?

Teldo has some good builds and sometimes OpticTV i think its called, i forgot sorry but yeah

I found Teldo. He is not as good or enjoyable as WP or Dontain, but at least he is a brother engineer.

I couldn’t find anyone with the name OpticTV that wasn’t completly irrelevant with the game, so any link would be apreciated…

There are very very veeeeeeeeery few engineers out there who are better/more experianced than teldo when it comes to tPvP. Even fewer if you want videos/stream.

This is the last thing Engineers need, the class is designed to be hybrid support. Notice the recent changes to damage/utility. If this class gets to be challenging others roles it will get nerfed again and again and again.

People if you have found something that works, for crying out loud. SHUT UP. Dont go brag about how awesome it is, all it does will garner attention from the fair weather players and it will get nerfed. Please, if you love the class keep your trap shut.

No idea what you and Lebannen are squabbling about, but “good” in this context was used in comparison with Dontain and WoodenPotatoes, hence implies that he thinks Teldoo is not as much a personality as the former two.

Frankly, due to the many quirks and misunderstanding surrounding the Engineer, there are scant few who will bother making consistent videos or streams of this profession, most especially in PVE.

Finally, no, asking people to stop making cool videos of their builds is a terrible idea. Community-created content is the lifeblood of any media these days; the lack thereof only suggests an uninterested community. The more cool videos people make, the more people will be interested in this profession. Yes, there will be cookie cutters that cling to some build or the other, but a start is a start.

I never asked anyone to stop making videos. I just said that theirs are not as good as WP and Dontain on the Entertainment aspect, obviously since WP and Dontain are pretty much showmen. It just bothers me how every few episodes they release one where they show and analise their builds, and I thoght that, “there’s got to be a similar video for engineers out there somewhere!….”.

mischwoof, the creator of the Tankcat build has a couple videos. I think he has a good sense of humor and has a creative editing style, but as of recently, he’s stopped making content related to GW2.

Personally, I’ve been searching for similar content myself (Engineers in PvE), but haven’t found anybody/thing interesting enough to catch my attention. I know what I’m looking for: Someone who plays Engi as their main, does lots of the mainstream content and who is willing to put out information for other players, as well as be entertaining. Perhaps that too much to ask of, but I may have a crack at it myself; if we can’t find anyone else to.
