Protects player as well and it seems to work like feedback. It reflects even if opponents are inside of the shield.

It’s not a useless trait. Every single class has projectiles on every single build (no matter what, I think) and a lot of them are deadly when reflected.

The trait destroys ranger spammers completely, it’s actually a really good counter against engineers because almost all of their skills are projectiles, it counters necromancers life blast and lich form. Many many uses.

I just don’t like the delay the shield has when activating.

Fortified Turrets is also great in PvE – spot a tell for a big ranged attack, drop a Turret, stand in the bubble and unload.

It actually seems to be slightly different from feedback (other than size and duration of course). Feedback reflects everything that goes through or is inside the dome. Turret reflects seem to reflect only things that pass through it, whether from the outside or the inside – if both the origin and the target are within the dome, it doesn’t seem to reflect. At least that is the experience that I get from it when fighting Alphard (Arah path 2).

The other major difference is the delay, as Zefrost has already stated. It is difficult to time, but if you do time it right (and get a little lucky) it is powerful against Lupi. Just keep in mind that its not as good as feedback because it covers a smaller area, and therefore reflects fewer projectile back at him.

Overall, its not something I’d recommend running around all of PvE with, but do try it out in appropriate situations (Lupi, Alphard, the boss of the harpy fractal, etc). I can’t comment as to how good it is in WvW or PvP, as I don’t do those.

Edit: forgot to mention – if using this against lupi, be wary of other players that might cause him to drop a dome on you – reflects provide no protection against that (bring rocket boots if you are with an inexperienced group).
