Is getting leather working to 400 and spending 30+ days to make the crystals for the armor for this build really worth it? Thnx!

Uhm, not if you don’t have any other exotic armor on that character, but doing it isn’t EFFORT, just takes time and why SHOULDNT you do it?

If you are planning to use it for roaming solo in WvW, then don’t bother, Cele Engi isn’t great for solo roaming.

I have assassins for pve and rabid for wvw I don’t really spvp or anything and I wasn’t sure if cele would just be a waste of time to make or does it really have a viable reason for me to make it. I would like a Bursty build for wvw also and didn’t know if cele build or if a plain old SD build would serve me better? :P

I built Celestial mostly so I could dork around with any build I wanted, or adapt them on the fly, without having to switch gear. Works well for that, and I found that it felt pretty okay even when I had a build picked – it doesn’t have any major weaknesses besides that it doesn’t have any real strengths, after all, and if you stack Might, you’ll end up with a fair amount of damage anyway.

If you’re looking for a bursty build, though, just go with Berserker or Assassin, I think; Celestial isn’t as good for bursting if you don’t have a bunch of Might stacks.

Pretty much that, its one of those build with VERY few weaknesses.
So you have more room for error.
However that WORKS in PvP due to the capping requirement, in WvW it isn’t as successful because its LESS tanky and deals LESS damage unless you are in an extended fight(and get a chance to build up might), in which case you are more likely to be swamped by more enemies without a reliable disengage.

Not really. You lose out on Incendiary powder AND healing effectiveness. So no…

well it is really different. Food and oil and guard stacks and wvw bonuses… It is then more tougher to put pressure with cele, than with rabid or knight. And healing power helps much less in wvw.

Don’t craft celestial armor! It’s a complete waste of time and resources! Just use knights stats armor with celestial accessories!
