I was wondering if celestial is worth it for eng roaming in wvw? it seems to do good in spvp, and was thinking of trying out wvw for some fun. I know it takes extreamly long to make (unless there is some secret of getting those stones that take a day to make and you need 5) and wanted to know if it’s any good? would love to hear from other engs about this ^^

I’m making the ascended celestial, not the exotics and running condi/triple kit (grande/bombs/tool kit or maybe rocket boots in place of the bombs)

I tried this out before too, and to me rabit seemed stronger.
The problem about Nades and Bombs is, that they`re difficult to apply on an opponent, cause both are more easy to evade than normal autohits. If you want to preasure someone with burst dmg you need to continuoisly hit him, and that seemed difficult to me.
If you`re running condi dmg, you only need to hit to apply conditions, and cc the opponent to death, or survive his dmg untill he runs out of condi removes.

This is not such a big problem in spvp, because you need to fight within a point to keep it, so it`s more difficult to evade.
In WvW you`re enemy has a lot of Space to evade into, when you`re zone controle is overwhelming him / them.

If you`re willing to try out another build with celestial gear mabe this will do it

but I`m afraid it`s not running bombs / nades.

I use a full set of celestial ascended gear in WvW. I like it, and find it quit good.

i’ll make it knowing that others do use it. are there pro’s and cons to rifle vs pistol/shield? in spvp rifle is really good control, but pistol does have a blind and poison (but sigil of doom can help us with that) I’m not 100% sure what to make as a weapon for wvw, any tips/info on this would be appreciated ^^

I prefer rifle most of the time, because of the knock back and the snare is nice to land grandes on them. on the other hand pistol/shield is nice for knock back/daze and the condis on pistol are nice also

Rifle is a power weapon! Pistol is a condi weapon! If your celestial build is more power oriented, use rifle! If your celestial build is more condi oriented, then run pistol! But if you’re going to be more condi oriented, then you shouldn’t be running celestial anyway!

Thats cool I assume you prob take speedy kits over power shoes? The build is really more for group play giving your team heals and some condi removal, providing combo fields and aoe damage. It could be used for solo, havoc squads and zerging its quite flexible.

riffle is better for celesital in my opinion, cause if u compare both p/s or /p vs riffle then u will see that even on riffle u will have your sigils IP and bleeding procing as passive and active from blunderbruss, while havving some more in combat mobility and good power dmg and u can maintain good condis with kits aswell.

I’m running atm celestial in tpvp and wvw roaming and must admit it’s my favorite stat combi atm.

No, I do not bother with speedy kits. I command a lot. I let my friends handle the swiftness.
