changes i hope for elixir gun
all traits effect Flamethrower and Elixir Gun alike (except the range one) but the one that SHOULD effect Elixir Gun is… Juggernaut.
Give that thing some punch already
Your suggestion to turn out best support kit into a DD kit are horrendous.
Little needs to change with this kit. The main change it needs is for the elixir F to be adjusted so it actually hits mobile targets.
Acid Bomb is spectacular.
Super elixir is great.
Fumigate works well and is a great AoE cleanse.
Tranquilizer Dart does a great debuff and has a healthy stack of bleeds.

notice that i’m not changing it at all.
I’m merely pointing out it’s illogical that it shares all traits with flamethrower except Juggernaut.
And yes: it could use that, if only for the toughness. but the might won’t hurt the kit, or make it any way less supportive.
It’s not like it would end up being overpowered either.
It would make it better rounded as a fully functional kit, that is all.
I agree on the fumigate to be better hitting of course, and I would let the orbs fly faster as well, they are too easy to avoid the first hit, which makes the bounce less reliable as well.
Hello frands! Vee Wee here #1 Engi NA and world first rank 80!
I’d like to see Fumigate cure conditions on yourself as well as your team! They buffed Guardian Torch 5 to do it, why not Fumigate! Especially since Engineers have the least amount of condi clear in the game!
Wahoo! Bye frands!
Howdy folks! Dancing monkery here, #5286th engi in NA and worlds Last rank 80! With a 100% Win ratio against Vee Wee in Combat !!!
Although I would love this too, it might be extremely over powered. I am sure no one here would disagree that we need more condition removal. Personally, I like the mechanics of Transmute and Elixir C, where the conditions are converted to boons. I would love to see more of that, or more options for that added to the profession. Personally, as limited as our condition removal is, I think Transmute needs to be changed to 7s at worst, but I would love to see 5s. For me, that would take care of most of my condition removal needs, particularly with healing turret.
Fumigate should be #1 attack haha for spaming ! dude this is a OKRY weapon ! spraying acid at others ! what are darts? when you can spray !
Does Super Elixir counts as an Elixir? Surely doesn’t seem like it in practice, even though it even says it’s an Elixir on the Tooltip.

Gw2 is a masterpiece at it’s foundation. Content-wise however…
No it is a kit. One of those misleading skill names.
It is our Best kit for support. It lets me cleanse allies, allows me to go 1 v x, gives me a heal and escape, lets me cleanse my own conditions, gives me retaliation and applies weakness. The auto already is extremely effective vs bruisers.
You can find me in PvP | I normally answer PMs

Perhaps this wasn’t an answer to my question, but If it was I meant the #5 skill on the kit, not the kit itself. No weapon skill on a kit is classified as a kit skill. The #5 skill is classified as an Elixir skill on the tooltip, and thus it should work as an elixir.

im still voting Fumigate as #1 and buff abit on abilities clear conditions and heal a bit of health of others … given the current damage it’s not going to hurt much ! haha
and kitten MORTAR into kit ! …. it’s like almost a year since i started off beta …. they can’t get it RIGHT !!!!

Super Elixir from Elixir Gun doesn’t count as an “Elixir” regarding traits that improves your Elixir skills.
Elixir Traits improves skills such as “Elixir B” because it’s an Elixir Skill.
But it doesn’t improve “Super Elixir” because it is a “Kit Skill”
….hope that made sense.
On topic though.
Juggernaut for Elixir Gun, it would boost it’s usefulness without being overpowered.

Elixir Gun skill type: Weapon Kit

Super Elixir (#5. Also Acid Bomb) skill type: Elixir

Elixir B skill type: Elixir

In the tooltip, the #4 & #5 skill on the Elixir gun is actually listed as an Elixir, just like the other, stand alone Elixirs.
This is listed as a bug on the wiki: “Bug:
Although Acid Bomb, Super Elixir, and Healing Mist are categorized as Elixir skills in-game, they do not benefit from Elixir traits.”

Yes, as I stated in my original answer, it is simply poorly named. Skill type and utility set are different things. As we both have already stated, if it is part of a kit, it is not an elixir. Only the 4 utility skills that are titled elixirs, are actually considered elixirs.
BTW. If it is already explained on the wiki, why were you asking about it here anyway?
