Malice is the better of the two. Do not take bursting. It’s a waste imo.

Malice is the best sigil and should always be taken.
You can then either pick Bursting for ranged dps or Geomancy for max dps.
Geomancy is stronger than bursting aslong as you proc it correctly every 12s ø. So aslong as you proc it correctly 75% of the time you should pick geomancy.
A full buffed always 9s procced Geomancy sigil deals 1600 dps. This means you’d have to deal 33’000 dps to outdamage it with Bursting, wich is quite impossible.

Why take Bursting over Earth? You will get more out of Earth than bursting. Bursting is terrible.
It depends on how long you’re gonna be ranged. Earth deals 50% damage of Geomancy and thus 16’500 dps should be achieveable in the case of Vale Guardian for example. If you are 100% ranged Earth will be better than Bursting tough.

If you had 3,000 condition damage as a stat you would gain 6%, or 180, condition damage which would then only take 6% of that, as per bleeding, into consideration.
At 3,000 cd a bleed does 180 dmg base and at 3,180 cd a bleed does 190.8 That’s a 10.8 dmg difference. So now we can look at it.
Presuming you swapped every 9 seconds you would gain 648 damage total to a Geomancy ( 10.8 * 3 * 20 ) weapon swap.
Presuming you crit over 80% of the time you would get an additional 10s 1,800 total damage bleed. about every 4s regardless of rotation.
I personally would not suggest an insignificant boost in condition damage for piddly numbers over new stacks. Better yet the two can work in tandem since they are not the same sigil type if you have 100% condition duration from elsewhere. Basically using the false 3,000 you only have a gain of .0036 on any given bleed.

Yup, gonna agree with you on this one! I tought I’ve made these cals a long time ago but that’s probably it – it was a loooong time ago where I didn’t consider the power damage of the condi engi.

- full buffed condi engi has 2697 condi dmg / 2859 with bursting (+6%)
- 1s bleed deals 241 dmg / 254 with bursting (+5.4%)
- 1s burn deals 721 dmg / 754 with bursting (+4.5%)
- 1s poison deals 256 dmg / 269 with bursting (+5%)
- Superior Sigil of Geomancy deals 14474 dmg every ~9s, 1608 dps
- Superior Sigil of Earth deals 2412 dmg every ~3s, 804 dps
Now if bursting increases your outgoing condition damage by ø5%, you need to deal over 16’080 pure condi damage per sec wich is a normal dps of 20’100 to make it better than Earth. That said, this is considering a 2s cd +1s bad luck / not insta proc again for reality on Earth.
So, gonna correct myself:
You should always pick Malice and either Geomancy for max dps or Earth for ranged combat.

Malice is 10% duration and bursting is 6% damage (stat). So yea, they’d stack with each other since it’s a different sigil.
