full bersi spec for wvw?
SD with non-projectile skills works really bad usualy its great take 3 projectiles with low cd like tool kit, rifle turret, ram, analyze ect. Also for gear is better max out crit chance and crit dmg. Assassin is much better choice because with fury from med kit you can reach 100% crit chance. Runes probably Scholar are best for this because SB builds are about super fast onepinkn instakill or dead:-) Might on crit is also waste because you get that might after spike so definetly Force.

Why do you find Precision a more important stat than Power. As far as I know it is in almost every single situation better to increase Power instead of Precision. This table is old but as far as I know it is still relevant. It basically tells you that maxing power gives you higher returns. Now if we are playing PvE there are other things that are more important (vulnerability stacking) which benefit better from more precision.
In my experience it works better to have Full Berserker than Assassin. Sitting at a solid 55% crit chance is enough anyways (not counting food/fury gain).

Thats true in theory and in most builds it works that way because overall dps is higher but with SD if you dont crit with whole spike you mostly dont kill your opponent at all and after that you have almost nothing to defend yourself. I played SD build with zerk before for a long time and now with assassin is killing much easier.

I have played SD for a very long time now and I can safely say that you will take your encounters down easily with one burst when running full berserker. Of course, taking down a full PVT Guardian won’t work but that won’t work with any kind of burst. Also, SD isn’t an all or nothing spec. If you run with the Tool Kit and Rifle Turret you got yourself plenty of defense especially if you also slot Elixir Gun (or Utility Goggles).
I also doubt that a solid 60% (with buffs) or 80% with Fury (utility goggles/hidden flask) is not enough to critical hit most (if not all) attacks. But oh well, if Assassin gear works for you than that is fine.
@OP: you can have a look at my setup if you like and adjust it to your likings. Many players have been running that setup with great succes.
@rozbuska
ty for pointing out that i should take projectile belt skills.. i was wrong about that
@wolfar
thank you very much for your link, i am running your yolo-static-discharge build now with a few adjustments and it allready works like 50% of the time. i die a lot, but its a l2p issue on my side
LOL to OP…..you can go full zerk and used it for what? Zerg fights? GvG? solo roam? i main an engi and i’ve tried doing any possible zerk build in wvw and find that it blows……give u an example…if u think u can blast them fast enuf cuz of ur zerk build, my ranger can kill u faster with 1 skill….2 words…rapid fire…..for short, some classes jsut do it better, as for engi, zerk in wvw will just kitten u off more than enjoying it, u can still try it though your choice.

hmm…sounds like l2p for me.
Bersi-Engi is fine!
Nope doesnt sound like l2p, burst engi is just bad in wvw, u can enjoy it for a good five minutes then find out its Whack, no loots, bad survivability in blobs, and if u go roaming and see veteran roamers GG, i play engi in wvw too bro just not berzerker cuz its blows.

So you can’t handle a squishy setup?
Okay.
Ofc you don’t run a zerker IN a blobb, but running a s/d zerker while ORBITING a blobb is the most hilarious thing ever, especially if you have scouted their commander. This is why organized guilds have a hunting party.
Solo roaming?
Never experienced any real issues when facing 1v2 or 1v3. You can kite them around for ages, due to high movability/leaps/stealth and decide yourself where and when to unload your s/d volley to drop 2 in one inning. exploiting stealth and gank groups is also something I like to pull off.
And in regards to rangers:
the only good ones I’ve encountered so far were not even running any bow. axe/horn + greatsword or axe-torch + sword-dagger builds are where rangers really shine, and depending on the build, they usually run celestial, knights, rampager or rabid/dire.
The only zerker rangers I’ve encountered so far do my work for me by killing themselves with their constant pew pew due to reflects.
Sorry, but your comment shows nothing but biased hostility towards a class that is awesome for condi or power-spec roaming if handled right, so I guess it actually is a l2p issue. On your side.
I’ve played hgh zerker before not only was it an absolute beast in 1v1 but it preformed amazingly in 1vMany situations, the grenade barrage alone can 1 shot things at 25 might which is insanely easy as hgh and your cleave is arguably the best in the game because you can cleave harder then any 1 person can res and doit at 1500 range making that, and don’t even say but what about rapid fire pew pew op because my 5 second stealth has just given me the time to run up next to you and your dead, and it’s not like you can sneak up on me I can just pop elixir s.
