help for new Engi :D
Sure, give me a sec and I build you one (not even kidding)
but one question first: condi dps or power-dps?
can you post both?
thanks

Power-dps
Hold your belt-abilities (except elixier U) and rifle #3 / #5 always on cooldown
also grenade #4 and bomb #2 / #3 should be on cd as well.
the rest can be used situational ( 2 blinds / 2 cc’s distributed over your kits)
elixier U is a stunbreaker and drastically increases your dps for 6 sec. most effective with the bomb-auto. also you can destroy / reflect missiles with its belt-ability.
and appart from that use greande or Bomb-auto, depending on needed range. your rifle’s auto doesn’t do much.
condi-build follows in a sec.
Just make sure to hold Pistol #2 #3 #4 always on cd, throw flame-turrets belt-ability BEFORE you place it and use your googles belt-ability to stack vulnerability up faster.
appart from that, hog in your Grenade kit and throw that stuff like a maniac. Everything on that kit should be on cd to all times.
P/P #5 gives you an cc and googles will stunbreak you.
also overcharging the flame-turret gives a nice perma-blind for 5 seconds (gets refreshed after every hit in this mode)

these are just-beginner builds, orientated for max-dmg
depending on your playstile you can swap around the elixiers and gadgets and turrets, but the kits should remain the same.
If you want more survivability on the condi-build you could swap the traits to take alchemy I and firearms III with you. basically gives you perma-vigor.
np, have fun with the engi
and remember, trying out your own ideas to find the most convenient play-style for you is the most important thing. Just avoid the flamethrower-kit at all costs. looks awesome, allows chilled facerolling, but brings no dmg / support whatsoever, which makes it a total slot-waste. It’s an heavily nerfed leftover that shouldn’t even exist anymore. Imagine it as simply not available.
good luck
You could go healing power with bomb kit with elixir infused bombs and elixir gun so everyong will love you for keeping them alive.

while mostly useless in dungeons, it’s an pretty solid advice for fractals^^
Why not try a hybrid build, they work wonders in both dungeons and pvp and this build can hit like a truck, this link is more off a dungeon set up though!
Well…I am not really the kind of person to really post builds and all, but I can say which kit is very amusing to use and effective
Bombs and Flamethrowers, always something to be having fun with
Ty to all for helping me, i have a some new questions for you
is a build like this ( http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fcAQJAqenIE1zaEL2tQ9aEJ0DJ0wULxHwsvMerHE-jwBB4hgoNBJLqIasVhFRjVvATpiIq2loIa1A-e ) viable for a support engi? with full cleric gear (power/toughness/healing) or full magi (precision/vitaliti/healing)? and which rune can i put on weapon?

If you want to be a support Engi, your mates will appreciate you being able to do damage as well.
Never take bombs without improved radius. It’ll make your life a lot easier. Engineers dont support with healing power (not as well as guardians or banner warriors). Engineer is the absolute BEST control class in the game. Immobilize, stun, cripple, and do every other means necessary to ensure the enemy doesn’t reach the squishies in the back.
Your support will come from the control and from the combo fields you can set up. Flamethrower or Fire Bomb to get those fire fields for might stacks. A smoke bomb on top of an ally is a great way for continual blinds against an enemy to rez them up, especially if you can blast finisher on top of it with Big Ol’ Bomb or Magnetic Shield/Inversion to stealth both of you.
Power or Condi is up to you, but I’ve run my Engineer Dungeon Support as an enabler type, maximizing DPS potential of other players more so than my own. The core of my build utilizes Vuln stacking to increase % dmg output for all players.
(The gear is very similar to what I ran as the max exotic gear on my Engi for the longest time, with only the accessories improving as Fractals were introduced last November.)
For boss fights, I’ll usually swap out Elixir B for Elixir R (party rez for people who can’t dodge). If I get dropped to 25%, the Throw elixir R rez function is renewed, thanks to Inertial Converter. Elixir S can sometimes be useful here too, for bosses that are more about positioning and direct damage instead of condi damage. I can use the Throw Elixir S to stealth rez an ally (or invulnerable rez, simply begin the rez animation and pop the elixir as an attack comes your way), and once again, when dropped below 25% I get that option back.
Runes/Sigils are personal preference. The build isn’t dependent upon them. I’ve been having fun with maximizing Bleed potential by mixing Krait, Centaur, and Afflicted runes to have each one of my Shrapnel Grenades leaving a 25 second bleed when I have food on. The 25 second bleed extends to the Shrapnel proc from Explosives.
