no seriously, i jus need a pvp build so I Can kill people and get up in the ranks. I usually pve and wvw, but I rarely pvp but theres things I want from pvp (glorious armor, balth backpiece) ive been in pvp the past 2 days and realize I love it lol. Only thing is, Ele is my main and im doing horrendous with it…. ok horrendous isnt the word to use, but longbow warriors/rangers are messing me up. I logged onto my ranger and murdered people with so much ease.

Enough ranting, I wanna use my engi, what do I do!

Those aren’t really cheap “I win pvp” builds. What you are looking is a turret build. I don’t really know the exact spread, but take whatever turrets you want, and then all the traits that relate to them, take a bunker ammulet, and win.

You can also find 99% of builds played by top players on metabattle too, organized by effectiveness and expanded with usage guides and viable choices for customization.

As for turrets, I’m not sure how far that build can carry a player. Takes 0 effort to be effective in 1v1, I don’t doubt that. But you are useless unless an enemy makes you useful – by that i mean that you can’t really rotate with a turret build and in a teamfight you are pretty much useless most of the time -> you will be basically afk on a sidepoint. If an enemy tries to take the point and you defend it, then you were useful. If they let you stay there and decide to 4v5 your team, then you just make your team lose the game.

And yeah, watching top players fight and rotate is also an important part of learning the game. Just don1t mimic everything they do unless you understand why they did that. Just because they are usually confident they can take far does not mean you should be pushing far 24/7, common mistake of soloque.

In sq turret builds can easily carry a players to the top 100 assuming they have decent understand of the game mode. Their lack of mechanically skill can be made up but the turret build.

If you want a need cheap I win build, I suggest you choosing another class (maybe warrior). LOL. I believe engineer is one of the hardest class to master, since you have a lot of options in your hand, and need a lot of practice until you learn how to use them in the right time.

I am personally using a celestial rifle with 3 kits (nades, bomb and EG).

Celestial rifle is pretty skewed towards the “i win” area so give that a go. Just go 60044 or 60062. People seem to not like protection injection anymore but I still believe it’s a strong trait.

as said before, if you want cheap 0 skill “i-win” you need a turret build,
something like this (the amulet is all preference, i like zerker) simply set up at a point (far point is the best), spread the turrets a little bit so they don’t get caught in the same aoe and then just spam your rifle skils along with overcharging the turrets, congratulations, you’re a pro! XD
