p/p hgh condition build - suggestions?
Do you want to run without any Kit? Tool Kit? Grenade Kit? That can change the types of builds delivered. The biggest thing is at least 10 points in Firearms and 30 points in Alchemy with P/P, Elixir B, and Elixir S most likely. Or at least that is the most common, because frankly even what is most common isn’t necessarily what works for you.

use elixir h, s, b. And grenade kit. Toss exliris cleanses you, as well as consumption. all grant might which gradually builds up. you can easily hit 18+might stacks on any duration fight.
Also yes, this build has been veted for high end spvp play. It is a good build.

I don’t mind running with kits at all – just want a competetive tournament build because I’m kinda fine with any build. I don’t like theorycrafting as much as just playing something that is viable

Are there any streams/videos of this build being played? I’m having a hard time conceptualizing how to be effective with this kind of build – are you proactively tossing elixirs to build up might? How does the grenade kit fit in?
I really loved the kit playstyle of 100nades (regardless of its viability – I played it mostly for fun and to learn the engineer playstyle) – is there a p/p condition or power build that still uses kits – especially grenades and tool kit which I really like though I do like medkit a lot too. Love speedy kits – rip KR.

There are vids of this around, I’m just too lazy to look em up. It generally boils down to being able to land your nades. I personally would take enhanced performance (Trait X in explosives) instead of short fuse (VIII) and also trade 2 hoelbrak runes for fire or strength ones (or just get 2 of all 3 types) this would give you 90% increase in might duration, making keeping higher stacks easier. Elixer H gives you 5 stacks this way so don’t be afraid to pop it a little early, especially if you just landed a nice shrapnel nade.
If you run with Geomancy, the general combo is you charge in with Pistol attacks finish with a Blowtorch, swap to Grenade Kit, and land Shrapnel Grenades. Teldo has many videos of it I imagine, hopefully someone else can be more specific.
I advise against chugging most of the elixirs on cooldown, and instead just use them when you need them. A change on the build with runes for Might and such though can make that viable though.

I run this in spvp, but recently swapped to boon duration runes after enjoying the length of my boons in wvw (mask’s wvw toolkit build).
Options are more limited in spvp, but I went with 2xWater, 2xMonk, 2xHoelbrak.
In the mists with 30 in elixirs, that’s 50% boon duration with 70% longer might duration versus 30% boon duration with 90% might duration. It seems to me that an extra 20% duration affecting all my boons would be more beneficial than slightly longer might – especially with how easy it is to keep might stacked through tossed/consumed elixirs.
So I’m curious why do you recommend might runes over boon duration runes?

B P – Human Thief (d/p – 0 | 10 | 30 | 30 | 0)
Boon Duration is probably better then specifically increasing Might Duration, I’d agree with that. There are a lot of other boons in the build.

It mostly fits in as it has most even power/condi damage distribution on all our damage skills now, and the point of build is to stack might which gives you power AND condi.
Taking other damage sources is possible but that would be worse cos u see.
Thanks for the replies guys – does anybody have any input on a kit-based p/p build? Does it make any sense at all? I was just starting to get reasonably proficient at using kits with the 100nade build when this nerf hit and really like hte kit playstyle so am looking for a viable alternative to 100nades that uses kits. KR seems pretty pointless to take now although I have not personally tried the new variation yet. I love speedy kits though.
I mostly do spvp/solo join tpvp but am starting to play with my guild and would like to have a viable engineer build as an option in addition to my thief, warrior (rip), and necro builds.
im interested in this build…. what gear r u rollin with for it? … i was condition nades w/ KR b4 the patch and have been snoopin for something new that isnt too far off from what ive got.
I’ve been playing quite a bit with the standard HGH p/p build and find it to be extremely effective. Pretty good survivability and crazy pressure with stacks of might and corruption. However, I miss juggling between kits – I just found that to be super fun. HGH is fun because of how successful you can be with it but I definitely prefer the kit playstyle.
