Guild Wars 2

I am the kind of player who likes to play one character and stick with it. I will play everything else just to learn their skills, traits and learn everything so I know my enemy as well as I know myself, but when it comes to focusing on playing, exploring, and growth I stick with my ‘main’.

I cannot find another class I enjoy playing, its really bothersome. I really want to enjoy Warrior/Guardian but I find them… lacking? Normally I enjoy tanking (in pve) and that high risk + High reward play-style (in pvp), which I suppose a full zerker warrior kinda fulfills. However tanking in this game isn’t really… a common thing… id more quickly get kicked out of a group for not being full zerker.

Just trying to rant/find a solution… if anyone has a suggestion please, would be grateful.

tldr: bored of engi, suggest another proff/build that is enjoyable.

If you do not like engis, you are in the wrong forum. Play warrior like every winning team joiner.

Well been playing engi since launch I like em… just wish they were… tweaked…

i got a ranger and mesmer but now i focusin on engy and i don’t got problem to join groups for dungeon/fractal/WvW just change build/equip for what needed
engy is a multiface character and have skills for whatever u want
i go turrets in ACp1 and CoFp1, fractal if i remember to change traits i go infused heal bomb or granadier but turrets work to
mapping with engy its easy (got skill for run, for evade, for breack stun, for massive heal a group)
you can play engy in every style (long/middle/short distance battle)
i dont see problem for not play an engy

If you like complexity of an engineer but need something new I would recommend a mesmer or an elementalist. Especially if you find the warrior and guardian lacking. Both of those caster classes can actually be quite tanky if built correctly. Good luck!

mesmer/ele could be good for you. Full zerk shatter mes <3

I would suggest Thief or Ele.

Thief is a challenging class, high risk vs reward. We’re not real sturdy but can output quite good damage. There are a ton of builds to play with and most all are viable and they all play differently.

I don’t have a lot of experience with Ele yet but from my understanding you need to twist the attunements in and out similar to Engi kits to play the class at its best.

Mesmer is fun. Shatter and Phantasm builds play quite differently. Shatter is great aoe burst but pretty low sustained damage, good for trash but not good for boss fights. Shatter is also great in pvp/wvw. Phantasm builds are good for PvE and can output some of the highest DPS that I’ve tested if run um right. Really great class but might not be the one that satisfies ya. Tons of viable builds here too.
