I was curious, the damage that weapon kits like flamethrower and Elixir Gun do, is that directly related to the damage of your actual weapon or your attack power? Also, if I equip a kit, does that null the stats I would receive from my weapon, like If my rifle gives me 80 power and 50 vitality would those still be added into my overall stats or no?

If I recall correctly, kits use:
-Stats received from weapons
-Sigils on weapons
and do not use:
-Actual weapon damage

^ correct. All kits are normalized for a static weapon damage of around 916 or something like that iirc.
