You looking for condi engi or condi scrapper? personally ive been playing condi engi for 2+ years in PvP and WvW (also what game mode you looking into).
To each their own, although some ppl like the toolkit kit for the pull/confusion burst. At least 1 pistol is a must (although 2 is optimal). if I remember right, some run firearms/alchemy and tools or inventions. There was about 3 on metabattle but no wthere’s 2 (albeit i find FT not very strong as a condi wep, but more as a dps wep, but again…to each their own. Maybe I havent fought any good enough FT condi builds to make me want to look into it again.)
Elixir gun seems popular by a lot of players as well as healing turret and Elixir S. For elite, I don’t see many outside mortar (i see a couple Elixir X from time to time, although in about 80% of my encounters, it is more of a hindrance due to the small time of the moa transformation, and its easy to kite the main transformation, although tornado is ok in a team fight. also Juggernaut is better if spec’d for DPS).
Supply crate has a high CD but I run it myself as it has good utility when vs outnumbered or out skilled fights…but again…to each their own.
You could go to Metabattle.com and get a starting point as there is 2 condi builds and you can tailor the build to your playstyle. I also stream my condi engi from time to time in case you need more ideas (albeit I do PvP and WvW)
