I couldn’t help but notice the added effect on the new superior runes of evasion, not onlyare they vvery good for power engineers but they have swiftness on dodge roll combine that with the vigor on swiftness trait and we are back to having perma vigor upkeep which further bolsters our defensive options running a power build, now out of every class we can easily upkeep endurance dodge rolls up more effectively then any other class (skill dodges don’t count) so effectively we can upkeep heaps of fury/swiftnessand vvigor just threw these runes which is amazing for the engineer provided you are running a build similar to static discharge its possible to dump 30 points in the firearms line and with the fury upkeep maintain high crit chance to keep our damage output at a good level, now comes the best part and that is an engineers ability to kite, we all know that engineers are a great mix between close range and long range so that easily allows us to use the 6th bonus on the rune and it fits greatly with the engineer skill sets, Im still unable to log in for a few days and test this out but the theory sounds solid any one have any experiences yet that could make for solid build crafting?

Unfortunately, there’s ICDs on all the effects of the Evasion runes, going by the wiki – 10 seconds each. Still a great source of Swiftness, (traited) Vigor, and Fury, and the #6 bonus is apparently able to crit as a playerbased AoE.

Of course, Invigorating Speed has a 5 1/2 second duration (5 seconds, +10% boon duration because of necessary Alchemy points), with a 5-second cooldown, and Speedy Kits has a 10-second cooldown itself; the overall effect is more or less permanent in-combat Vigor with these two traits and this runeset.

Within an SD Build and 30 in Tools i wouldn´t use it. Using a dogde offensively to get fury makes you 10% dmg loss (3rd minor trait tools).

It could help you recover from the loss if you used it defensively. In a game based as heavily on active mitigation as this, I’ve never thought that minor trait was a good idea.

true.

did some calculations and testings with my boons&burst sd-build evasion-runes vs. pack. pack is better for me.

edit: With SD and 30 in Tools i try to not dogde within the initial burst to get a benefit from the trait

but yeah: depends on the build around.

20% crit rate = 10% damage at 150% crit damage
20% crit rate = 20% damage at 200% crit damage

well… approximately

Well…if you have no other source of fury, take it. But with a 30% uptime max before boonduration…i don´t know, there are better options (rune-whise and other).

Again, they are not bad at all. But they are not game braking or something and I haven´t found a build yet, where they are better than other choices.
