soo about sinister stuff
I like how it feels so far. Did some wvw with my guild and felt like I was a major chunk of damage output. Similar survivability as a zerk but better able to manage the fight because your damage continues to be useful when you need to pull back or go into survival mode, thanks to conditions damage.
I tested rifle/wrench/nades which I found very effective. Today I’m going to shift a bit towards conditions and try my dual pistols with a slightly modified build.
If you like playing a zerk, sinister offers a new angle on the concept.
I considered going for sinister over my current carrion secondary set (mostly for WvW and Lulz), but I’m hesitant to do so.
I ran some numbers, and over my current mix of mostly carrion + some rampagers, going full sinister would only give a 13% increase to physical damage at a loss of 30% effective HP. In PVE sure this is fine, but in WvW that extra HP is quite meaningful. Also, it was only a 13% increase to direct damage, whereas the bulk of my damage is from Condis.
So… maybe after conditions in PVE are fixed. But until then, I’m staying carrion.
Hi,
I just made a post about an engineer sinister build, however I asked some advice so I can improve it. I just started using it today for: pve, dungeons and solo content.
Iám still waiting for people to respond to my post and give me advice. I would gladly share my build with you, however Iam not a prefessional engineer player but still mastering the class. Let me know if you want a link to the build.
For know I just keep working on the build.
What I have been told as a best solo setup on r/ by Nike:
“64040 rampagers armor, givers weapons and assassins earrings and berserker rings, amulet and backpiece. Runes of the Aristocracy, Sigil of Strength, Sigil of Force/Night/Slaying to taste”.
He told me that NoTrigger was testing different builds. I have no idea how it end up.
When I solo, I use the normal zerker setup.
