Short qeustion is pistol/shield or pistol/pistol viable with power/precision/thougness stacking (knight based sets)?

I tested rifle and pistol/shield and i see strange number pistol did more dps with the above mentioned is it a bug or is this really viable?

Stat allocation is something I have not found a simple answer to.

P/P I would say is about 60/40 condition/direct. This ratio is modified with various sigils/traits. +cond duration for example obviously moves it towards cond, while +crit damage, etc moves it towards direct damage.

Yes, while p/p on the surface looks like its pure cond damage, its not really, and you can do well using power, crit and crit damage with it. Especially when you start considering fury, vs might, vs crit damage buffs, cleansing, base weapon damage, various traits, passives and sigils that are crit related, etc.
