Damage done = (Weapon strength) * Power * (skill-specific coefficient) / (target’s Armor)
that is the formula being used to calculate damage in Gw2.
After respositioning it, this is the formular for getting a Targets armor Value:
(target’s Armor) = (Weapon strength) * Power * (skill-specific coefficient) / Damage done
To perform the experiment you get a friendly engi from the neighborhood, invite him to a Arena, let him place his turrets one after another and hit them x amount of times with your auto-attack.
After that you look into your combat log, summarize the damage dealt and devide it by the amount of times you’ve attacked. that is your middle damage value.
Use this value as “damage dealt” in the above posted formula and fill in the other values from the Wiki page about the AA you’ve used.
Keep in mind that weapon-strength is another RNG factor, so simply use the middle-value there as well (900-1100 would be 1k flat, f.e.)

- all turrets were placed once and attacked until they got destroyed
- Auto-tool installation is the only active trait in this test to increase the data-pool

544.45 (20 hits)
Peak values:
471 – 572
1095.5 * 1908 * 0.55 / 544.45 == 2111.42

754.08 (12 hits)

1095.5 * 1908 * 0.55 / 754.08 == 1524.53
(note: all 4 turrets turned out to have almost identical values, so the medium seed got copied over)

1095.5 *1908 * 0.55 / 748.66 == 1535.56
(note: Flame-turret also seems to have identical Armor values to the above 4 turrets, but has a increased health-pool)
Overall that means that Thumper has a estimated armor value of ~2100, and all others have ~1500. If you want it more accurate, increase the data pool by using other AA’s or more hits

I wanted to know because I wondering wether I can use turrets like ele use their earth elemental on Old Tom.
Btw, can someone put this data into the wiki so people don’t need to ask again?
