Do you “feel” the 6 piece bonus on the water runes at work? One of the weakness in these carrion-based builds is that they can have difficulty with sustained damage. I was just curious if you feel the extra healing serves to remedy that a little bit, or if it’s just some extra thing happening that you feel doesn’t have any sort of profound effect.

yes, it is very noticeable. it adds about 950 hp to my heal and it’s shared to allies. It’s around 15% increase hp gain when I use my heal skill.
strength obviously works as well, with all the pros and cons that come with it.

Yeah I’m still using aristocracy (previously noble) runes for the condi damage, but the +7% damage bonus from strength might actually work out even better. They should really add a +5-7% condi damage bonus to the aristocracy runes to make them measure up a bit better, although maybe that would just be too strong.

Any combo of those would work fine. I think he was possibly implying that he has a corruption sigil in his harpoon gun so that he can build stacks and then use a sigil of battle and tormenting on his pistols. That way he doesn’t have to “waste” a sigil slot on his pistols for his corruption stacks.
I’ve always been too lazy for that though, I usually just run battle and corruption for this kind of build. A sigil of earth or doom would work out as well if you’re looking for a less expensive option.
I run corruption, torment. also, I feel like carrion isn’t gear for me and that spec. Is there any other gear that would ft?
corruption + battle are the best choices. torment is decent instead of corruption since it adds that extra cover condition.
rabid gear works too and so does celestial; full dire doesnt really work since the crit chance is too low (full carrion suffers from the same) . any mix of the above plus rampager and soldier works as well.
for me, the main thing is to have enough crit chance that procs happen in the first 2-3 attacks (so about 30% base). from there I just mix the rest of the stats to what I feel works best. I like using power as well as cd to give that extra punch to my attacks, especially prybar and dodge bombs.
