Ever hated Thiefs for their Stealth? Now imagine a similar Engineer only more in favor of your Team with surprise AoE-Damage, AoE-Stun, AoE-Immobilize, AoE-Knockback, AoE-Mightstacking, AoE-Healing, Perma Vigor, Perma Swiftness and last but not least Invulnerability, 2 Stunbreakers, 7 Blast-Finishers and more.

This build can be used either for Direct Damage Pressure, Condition-Bombs or for more Bunkering capabilities and incooperates the October 15th balance changes.

It ‘s applicable for both sPvP and tPvP but be sure to read the requirements as it isn’t a fire and forget Build but requires high Coordination and Skill-Play even if it can be kind of forgiving especially when paired with a Soldier trinket (good for learning the rotations).

I really like the thumper turret and i would love to fit it into my build, but the eg is just way superior, with a healing stun breaker that’s on a shorter cd, an aoe condition removal every 16 sec, and my favourite bast finisher on the engi,, i just couldn’t pick the thumper over it! The only reliable stealth i can see on your build is “toss elixir s” and i would probably just use that for a stealth stomp, but then i usally use bob or the ht for that.
Smoke bomb and one blast is pretty good for an opener, but when your in a fight chances are your blasts will fail to stealth you when fighting on a point.

This build does have some diversity within it, but when compared to a ht/tk/bk/eg set up, it’s just not on par! Defiantly give it a go though.

Well, you missed a point here … the whole Build is about Blast-Finishers just incooperating a single Utility to your own Build won’t help that much. Also Thumper Turrets Rumble does around 1k+ Damage, provides a Stunbreak, 1s Stability and provides a Toolbelt Blast-Finisher aside from it ’s 2 other Blast-Finishers that resets at 25% HP and can be used in conjunction with Healing Mist when your HT is on Cooldown.

The point is not to keep Stealth up permanently and escape like a Thief but to use it in favor of surprise to start the fight especially when you’re up to a larger group of enemies. Throw Elixir S is there to have a similiar escape especially as it resets at 25% HP for another 5s Invisibility. You are able to use it to get Instant-Stealth, run away, Drop Smoke Bomb, Blast Away for Example with Rumble and Shield #4 for additional Stealth and/or pop Invulernability. Aside from that you have twice the HP as a Glass-Canon Thief that usually Perma-Stealths.

Like I’ve explained in the Assault Rotation – If you do it right, it ‘s way different than your usual HT/TK/BK/EG Bunker. EG only brings one Blast, TK brings none. You’re able to down them at once or at least force them out of the Point if executed correctly, with them having little chance to react at all as they don’t see you coming.

That ‘s also why you’re also able to incooperate more offensive capabilites. Your Bomb Autohits will do ~2.6k DMG per Crit on an Medium Armor Target without Vulernatibility and Mightstacks with the example Setup. Thought if you read further, when going for Conditions or needing more Heal and Condition-Cleanse EG might be worth a look.

In fight you can use your Blast-Finishers for further Mightstacking or even Retaliation Stacking from EG #5. Thought it ‘s true that in fight Blast-Finishers tend to be unreliable when things go hectic. But they aren’t a must use in the middle of the enemies.

Looks really fun for sPvP. In WvW you could have quite a bit of trouble with people kiting you.

edit: With rifle, and -5 from inventions and tools for sitting duck, this might be pretty fun for WvW too. :P

Well yes, it could also be used in WvW and PvE just for different purposes / fun.

Basically it ‘s also a Guide covering the strategic operations of Bombs
to success and doesn’t just promote spamming #1

Sorry for the late reply. If you go WvW/PvE I’d try mixing Assassin = Zerker > Celestial = Valkyre Gear with a Rifle and a Sigil of Force / Perception for DD or all Dire with Sigil of Hydromancy or Geomancy for Conditions.

Not sure this would be the best for bunkering, although if you went with soldier’s or knights gear it could probably work. The stealth and invuln can backfire on you if you’re trying to hold a node, although they’re very useful in other situations.

I don’t do organized tPvP stuff though, so maybe I don’t have the proper context. Nice to see thumper turret getting some love though.
