0/1/6/6/1 or 0/1/1/6/6?
They’re both decent builds, however they just play a little different. 0/1/6/6/1 will give the most amount of sustain since you are traited heavily into Valor, and using AH. However 0/1/1/6/6, gives you the most amount of support, however your sustain isn’t as great because you lack all the armor and AH. So it really just depends on what you’re comfortable with, and your team composition.
As for weapons, generally staff as you said. Mace/Shield is great for support, using Mace/Focus is a bit more selfish. Hammer is also really good for the amount of CC it brings. Scepter can be decent too, for the range and slight CC. I really wouldn’t recommend GS for bunker, you’re better off going hammer in that situation.
Heavens Rage
Try both before you decide, but tbh I’ve never liked the 6 in virtues builds or been able to get them to work for me.
Anet lied (where’s the Manifesto now?)
pretty much only depends on comp. If youre playing with multiple roamers then you want to AH because theres less chance of them rotating on ponit. Howeverif youre going cheese mode comp with 2 warriors/2eles/2engis etc then you can try virtues because you can rotate off point to save your cds still.
Pretty much what Harbinger said. Fundamentally they are both very good support bunker builds and it really is a matter of preference. One has better personal sustain, whereas the other has better supportive traits.
Staff is mandatory. You probably shouldn’t go for greatsword because it really only has greatsword 5 to help others. I personally would love to see hammer immob be more reliable by making the chains travel faster and the ability to move a bit while casting ring of warding (#septchanges) but I guess we take what we can get. Also, I still haven’t figured out how to get sceptre to work. It seems better because you get immob instead of mace block, but mace symbol does a lot of work in personal sustain, or when you want to give one of your warriors some extra sustain.
Booms, that seems like good advice.
