Guild Wars 2

So yeah, I rolled a guardian and a friend of mine suggested using a damage build, focusing on crits, burning and meditations. At the time he was only joking but I decided to go ahead and make a build based on all that. After looking at the traits and weapons, as well as doing some reaserch into what the best weapon sets for this kind of build would be, I made this build, which I intend to use in PvE and maybe a dungeon or two:

For the weapons and armour I though I might use either knight’s or berserker’s, with valkyrie trinkets. My biggest concern with using knights however, would be a higher chance of gaining aggro due to the increased toughness, plus I already have higher armour from being a soldier class and having 30 in valour.

Any ideas for improvements or changes would be greatly apprieciated.

10/30/30/0/0 This is the build I use sometimes. Really good damage if you can keep burning going. Helpful if you have a second guardian in the group. Take a look at the Effective Power, boosted by Fiery Wrath and Sigil of Force. This is a glass build and a challenging play style but it is doable. Throw on Mace and adjust traits for the tougher situations. Mace actually has very good damage contrary to what some say, use the symbol and Protectors Strike as DPS tools.

This is my personal build I am working with atm and testing out. you lose about 300 effective power compared to yours, but gain a huge amount of armor and effective health. The nice thing about having more armor is that is makes your heals more effective, as you essentially heal back more hits because you are taking less damage from each hit. Also, conditions are almost a complete non issue as the food + melandru runes remove them quickly, and you also have smite condition if you get something like a nasty confusion stack on you. As blood said, I use mace defensively and sword Offensively, despite actually having more armor with my sword/shield combo. (You can always switch the offhands, but i prefer having the shield with the sword to combat thieves with shadow refuge.
