Hi!
Let’s make this short: Guardian has two main problems;
1. Slow Speed
2. No soft CC
Suggestion for problem 1:
Added a new virtue (Virtue of Patience, VoP), 50 sec cooldown,
Passive: Gain 11% increased movementspeed for every virtue on passive. (up to 33%)
Active: Give yourself and allies around you Vigor (8 sec).
Inspired Virtue minor trait adds 10 seconds of swiftness to you and your allies upon activation.
New Master trait added: Impatient Protector: Remove VoP’s passive effect. VoP now gives 25% increased movementspeed (permanently).
Suggestion(s) for problem 2:
Glacial Heart (Trait): Virtue of Justice now chills instead of burning.
Flashing Blade (Sword #2): Now cripples the target for 3 seconds.
Some QoL changes:
Battle Presence: Nearby allies gain Virtue of Resolve’s and VIRTUE OF JUSTICE’S passive effect.
Virtue of Courage: Reduced cooldown to 45 seconds.
Shield of Judgement (Shield #4): Create a shielding wave AROUND you that damages foes and gives protection and AEGIS to yourself and up to five allies.
Shield of Absorption (Shield #5): Create a dome around you that pushes foes back and REFLECTS projectiles. (Maybe rename to “Shield of Reflection”?)
Symbol of Protection (Hammer #1, 3rd chain): Activation Time reduced to 1 second.
Ring of Warding (Hammer #5): Activation Time reduced to 1/2 second.
Well that’s it, I got some more changes but I want to keep it simple
I hope this gets some attention, if you don’t like my suggestions please tell me why, don’t just write: “these changes suck”, “OP changes” etc.

I really like the virtue suggestion, would really solve the sluggish movement of the guardian and doesn’t feel too op. The glacial heart change sounds fun too, good thing in wvw together with permeathing wrath for aoe chill
regarding movement any other class has up to 25% if i am correct so 33% may be op. also other class use utility while you use f4 skill so again may be not equal.
so may be the active virtue give aoe swiftness and the passive give vigor for 3 every 5th attack
voj is fine and the burning really help in pressure your enemy. also condi guardian needs it (as anet try to push the guardian into condi meta)
i agree chill is needed and maybe few more conditions so maybe voj active will burn and chill as you want the chill to proc when you needed
or make the trait which burn when you block to chill also for 3 seconds
i would like to see some evades skills/utility as mesmer, engi, thieves,ele, ranger got
I like the 4th Virtue. But 33% is WAY too much. A bit modification here for this 4th Virtue.
It should be 25% movement speed and not 33% so you are on par with other profession. Also, the other profession need either a skill or a trait to achieve that, so you can’t only give a free 25% to the guardian. Also virtue passive or active give you the same things but with in different ways (Aegis each 40 sec or Aegis now on longer cooldown, Burn every few attack or everybody burn now, Constant Regen or a boost of hp now) So this 4th Virtue would need to have the same concept. Something like Vigor each 30sec for passive (or a 33% Endurance Regen that don’t stack with Vigor) and for active that give vigor to your party. And after that a trait could give 25% Movement Speed when the 4th Virtue is on passive.
I like the glacial heart.
Flashing Blades, it could be nice to have a cripple. But for movement speed, that would be really nice if Flashing Blades had a longer range like 900 and could be use to teleport in from of you even when you don’t have any target And the skill should work even if you are not in range of your target (It would only teleport you, not damage or blind since your not in range). I can’t stress how much its frustrating when you use Flashing blades at 610 range and that just give you a cooldown and nothing else.
I like the virtue suggestion also, and how +passive virtues = +movement speed. Thats a v. nice idea.
Hate to burst this bubble, but there’s no way you can put 25% movement speed on a class mechanic. It needs to be something chosen, like a signet or a trait. Where you have to weigh the benefits of choosing it over something else.
And if the passive needs to be traited to give the 25% movement speed, why attach it at all to it?
well the speed % numbers aretn set in stone, I just wanted to bring up an idea for a new virtue.
