Just something that I think would be cool. Having a virtue that increases movement speed. Passive buff would be 10-15% and when used it would give you a allies around you a burst of swiftness 33% for x amount of time. They would be a Skald/Paladin mix from Daoc.

AoE Aegis every 48s(with trait) is terrible?

You can use a staff even if it’S not your weapon of choice, we can have 2 weapon set you know. I’m personally using a staff as 2nd set for the swiftness.

If you want just to complete maps or run around I suggest use shout build + staff then trait up to reduce 20% cooldowns ( 2hand skills + Shout skill)

First of all, Swiftness is 33% movespeed increase, not 10%. Second, due to the nature of spells being able to be cast while walking, Swiftness is even good in combat.

There are enough abilities to give you Swiftness, if you don’t like using them that’s your problem, we don’t need another Virtue, aside from it being overpowered to give the Guardians even more good stuff, mobility isn’t too much of a Guardian thing, more of a Thief thing.

I disagree about Retreat. I have 30 points in Virtues, and I use Retreat along with Save Yourself and the 20% shorter shout cooldown. I can pretty much be in speed nonstop during fights and Retreat helps keep Retaliation up since I have a Retaliation build. Hold the line is nice, however I have found I rarely need while using a shield.

It also helps keep up an Aegis rotation since there are 4 or 5 abilities which can cast or refresh Aegis, plus the mace block. Keep in mind all of this is for a defensive build.

Pretty much this. I have found that staff is too niche outside of wubwub

I only used Retreat! for PvE strictly for going from A to B. Other than that, it’s pretty terrible. It’d be nice if maybe it got 3s regen at the least.
