What if we changed these silly things from being instantly killed minion-style critters to an on-cast buff to your attacks? As an example: say we took Sword of Justice and made it a damage boost on a % chance per swing, in the form of an arc of damage. When activated, you’d see the weapon itself come out and deliver the (preferably cleaving) blow. Traits could be reworked to deliver this buff to allies as well, similar to venom sharing with the thief, as well as increase activation chance and possibly effects of each weapon. I know the shield’s pretty nice as is, so we can probably have it appear in front of the guardian and cast the bubble periodically to match the proposed changes.
Thoughts and opinions appreciated!

You should check out Ranger Spirit play, it looks like exactly what you want. Although it might be dull to have the profession skills behaving the same, then again we do have signets across all of them but the enineer.

The idea is to change them into something that’s not so easy to leave out of every build. Think more like weapon spells in GW1, where the skill adds an effect to your attacks…

An absolutely awesome idea, would love to see it implemented, although seems quite unlikely that ANet would completely redesign these skills. Also I quite like the bow, removes condis and the command skill (hail of healing arrows) is very pretty and heals for a nice amount (could scale a little better to healing power though). That being said – I’d still love having the sword and what not as weapon skills/buffs like ritu’s in GW1.
