These changes really force players to use specific weapon sets instead of the ones they want. It really feels like a step backward and a more tunnel vision game style.

I ask all to just add one item that feels out of wack.
I’ll start with one and it’s certainly not even high on the list.

Why is glacial heart in virtues?

thanks

just like the dam HONOR line the first 3 traits are MACE/REVIVAL/FALLdmg

they are all useless in pve or you need to wield a dam mace

and the grandmaster 2 with the larger symbols should be a tier 1 so we can actually use honor for something good

Mace is great.

But doesn’t mean I have to carry it to make the adept trait worth while, otherwise they are there just to be there. Mace is slower than a collect call back in the 2000s.

There is nothing new here to complain about … we have always had traits aimed at specific weapons. If you took those lines and didn’t use those weapons, same as before. Patch hasn’t changed anything in that respect.

True, but not true. But previously we did more other choices. Did you look at the new adepts for Honor? mace, falling damage and revival traits and nothing else. They are not exactly something you would pick previously, no? So the patch did change in that respect: less other choices. Tell me, if you don’t use mace but need to take honor line, which other adept trait that you would use?

This sounds like it would have been the perfect place for them to put a speed boost trait (instead of falling damage; who the heck cares about falling damage!)

Nope! Stuck with Traveler Runes still if you want any speed!

Not every trait spread is going to yeild you optimal results … just like before the patch. Nothing new here.

I never said anything about “optimal result”. Don’t put words in my mouth. Enough of your strawman. You avoided answering my points and resorting to making up a fake argument i never made, that proves how short your logics line is. Nothing about "optimal ", it’s about practical choices. Traits are situational but All three choices in Honor adepts take it to the next level. Basically, if you don’t use mace, you will have to pick the other two which were almost always never picked for pve.

You implied it … otherwise you wouldn’t be complaining that there is no worthwhile adept traits in that line for you unless you have a Mace. This isn’t different than we had before; I had to take Radiance traits that weren’t good for me when I used hammer in PVE before the patch. This isn’t a new issue, it’s just a different form of it because trait restructuring. If Anet didn’t see fit to ‘fix’ this after a whole trait restructure, sort of makes me think it’s intended to work this way. It makes people think about what they do in their build and why they do it and how the choices they make impact their play. From my perspective, that’s a smart thing to do. Not everything in this game needs to be so dumbed down; there is enough of that going on as it is.

Yeah this is stupid. I don’t mind ANY of these traits on their own but having them be the only options (3 situational traits) means that going deeper in the line feels like you have a wasted tier.

They just removed too many traits so there’s not enough choice and combined some in… not appealing ways.

There are 2 traits for scepter in the zeal line but the minor traits are all for symbol. The GM traits are also spirit weapon, aegis, and more symbol traits.

Then use the revival trait. Chances are someone, sometime is gonna go down, might as well spend less time rubbing them back to fighting condition. Less downtime for you, less downtime for them. If no one’s going down, then who cares, the content you’re doing is so easy you could probably do it traitless and naked anyway.
