This thread is to ask around to see what people prefer most and why. Its obvious both AH and monks focus are our two best and some may say one or the other are mandatory traits to take in a build and I wanted to see which ones do you guys prefer for your play style.

So everyone what do you prefer?

All depends on your play style. I’d say the majority of guardians I see are AH with the hammer.

I personally run GS + sword/shield (scepter/focus on swap for ranging + catching thieves) with a mediation build 90% of the time.

I Use AH when I:
-When doing harder dungeons, (High Fractals, Arah etc)
-Fighting Warriors/Other Guardians 1v1 (with a party around i.e Fight Clubs)

When I use Monks Focus (Meditation Build)
-PvP
-WvW
-Easier Dungeons (AC, CoF etc)

Notes: I am easily just as tanky with either build, I personally prefer monks focus. AH relies on your party for more healing, I.E having a lot of crit chance for more healing at the loss of other stats.

AH is better for dungeons and large group play.

MF is better for soloing, and sPvP.

Basically AH gives great group buffs, while MF is a bit more DPS and greedy. It’s a playstyle choice.
