I asked Karl in the DPS stream today. Really really disappointed with this.

If it wasn’t for its built in Smite condition, i’d totally rage a whole lot more. I’ll leave that to everyone else…

MotP nerf is the only thing that feels ‘wrong’ or unreasonable but let’s be honest guardian has always seen play in all game formats unlike necro. I haven’t seen one necro in a PUG dungeon in maybe 2 months and my friend who once mained necro in tpvp now has 2 guardians and 2 eles each at lvl 80.

Wow…. just… wow… I was holding out hope it would be per target, as it would make sense, and at least give SOME type of synergy for blocking. Shelter is literally only usefull for a block now, and has pretty much no counter play attached to it. Focus #5 now also makes it a no brainer to break as one stack of burning and might isnt any type of threat either. I guess it was too hard to cancel out of a channeled attack or to cleanse for people so instead of adding good counter play and the ability to use healing skills offensively they decided to no brain it.

Here’s a list of nerfs we’re getting for little to no reason at all that I compiled in another thread:

Black Box.9312:

Burning changes are not going to be nearly enough to save us from all of the nerfs. Symbolic Avenger got cut in half to +10% damage in symbols, which is absolutely laughable for a GM trait. Fiery Wrath got nerfed from both -3% damage and from reduced burning uptime due to intensity stacking, Amplified Wrath and Might of the Protector block procs got 1s ICDs, Amplified Wrath got nerfed to +15% burn damage, we lost +10% damage from Radiant Power, we lost +10% damage from Elusive Power, and we lost a +10% damage for sword from Powerful Blades.

On top of all that, virtue radius got cut in half, we lost the vitality from Honor leaving cleric amulet bunker guardians with 11k HP, Glacial Heart is now competing with Absolute Resolution, signets lost their condi removal (which makes them even more useless than they already were), shield skills are still bad, the shield trait is still even worse, AND Blind Exposure got combined with Binding Jeopardy to give a whole 3 seconds of vulnerability per blind.

Any hype I had back when the changes were first announced are since dead. Even with the burning changes, Engi is still better at stacking burning than Guardian is.

I really don’t think any of those are justified outside of maybe the Amplified Wrath burn damage modifier. And I’m sure there are a few other nerfs in there that I just forgot to mention. The condi changes are going to bring in a pretty insane condi burst meta from the looks of it, and yet again, we’re going to get left in the dust.

Too lazy from my point of view.
