Adivce on DPS guardian
Ignore Attack, it’s not a meaningful stat. Power is what’s important.
Secondly, gw2buildcraft.com is your friend.
As for actual builds, there’s a lot to choose from. If all you care about is damage, 10/30/30/0/0 Right Hand Strength/Monk’s Focus works well. Use with Berserker/Valkyrie gear. If you want more group utility while still having very high damage, 10/30/0/30/0 Right Hand Strength/Pure of Voice works well also. You’d take Empowering Might and Superior Aria in Honor. You’d use shouts with that instead of meditations. You can also mix it up and do 10/30/10/20/0 Right Hand Strength, and keep Empowering Might and Purity in Valor for conditions along with that 10% crit damage boost.
Ultimately though you’re going to want to play around and find a build that suits you through trial and error. These are just guides. That said, one thing is really important – if you’re building for damage, you need damage multipliers. They’re massively weighty in terms of effective power gained. 10/25/x/x/x is really standard in damage builds because of Fiery Wrath and Radiant Power, which give you a combined 20% damage bonus. That’s really big. In the Master trait tier of Zeal you can pick up Greatsword Power for another 5% damage, or Powerful Blades in Radiance for 5% Sword damage. What’s more, Elusive Power (Honor 25 minor trait) gives you another 10% as long as you’re not full on endurance. Considering how much you need to dodge as full zerk, that’s all the time.
Another thing – Carrying Signet of Judgement is always an option for shoring up poor defenses. It’s worth roughly 300 armor. That lets you cheat a bit and more fully spec into damage everywhere else, along with your gear.

thanks a lot i really appreciate it so what your telling me is to go crit and power mostly?
also providing the stats that i gave, what do you think i should change? should i get more crit/crit damage or attack?
You should probably get rid of the condition damage because it doesn’t help much for a guardian and focus on a bit more precision.
Indeed. Crit damage is worthless without a decent crit chance.

Power, precision, and critical damage all together. They all interact with each other. If you don’t have high power, your critical damage doesn’t have much to multiply. If you don’t have high precision, you won’t crit to begin with. If you don’t have high critical damage, even if you do crit and have high power, your multiplier won’t be any good.
I can’t really give you “goal” stats because there’s still lots of options out there for you and your stats will naturally vary with different trait specs. Plus, everyone’s gonna give you a different answer for that. Just figure out what works for you and your spec. But generally speaking if you have over 50% crit and 50% critical damage with 2k power or higher you’re at least on the right track for damage, assuming you have some multipliers in your traits.

Hey,
I have been playing around with a PVE/WvW build that uses high crit chance and damage with healing and toughness to give me a life stealing tanky guard.
Take a look it might give you some ideas.
Tweaked your build, Beren. 30% more damage, higher effective health. Kept the life stealing, dropped the Altruistic Healing which you really don’t need, especially if you aren’t running EM, a staff, or Inspired Virtue. The piddly healing from Magi gear wasn’t worth the power sacrifice, especially if you aren’t going to take Selfless Daring, which gains the most benefit from it. Also, any time you’re in content that you don’t need to be tanky for, switch Judgement for Bane and gain another 9% damage or so. Give it a try.
