So, if a Guardian has both Aegis and Shield of Wrath active, the first attack to be blocked will consume BOTH the Aegis and a charge on SoW. This is downright bad design, as it removes (or at least heavily reduces) the synergy of two mechanics that should flow together and serves as an unnecessary limitation to Unscathed Contender.

Aegis should trigger if and only if an attack is unchecked by other blocking mechanics.

I agree.They do need to fix this however I am sure that if they ever do they would rather have Aegis take the first hit. The reason for this is probably because they would rather us just have SoW pop and deal damage than have it possibly pop and deal damage while keeping us at a 20% damage buff with Unscathed Contender.

Though to be honest I would love it if they did let SoW block first. XD

+1 for having this fixed. I’m honestly surprised that after a year and a half they still haven’t addressed some basic issues like this.

There are so many basic issues they haven’t addressed, just another one is no surprise.
